We should get together with WSI and form a vigilante group.

I heard there were a lot of people there wearing Cub s*** and egging on White Sox fans. Why on earth would a Cub fan want to go to a Sox game just to start s***?

Small minds are easily amused :huh

I don't want to get into a big arguement here, but lets look at a couple of things. First it is the right of anyone to go to the game, wear there colors of choice. I wore my sox gear at the reds game last week. Nobody beat the hell out of me, nobody threw s*** at me. Just me being proud of my team. I could care less if people wear Cub gear. Get over it. its baseball, its a game, go there and cheer for your team. Don't worry about who others are cheering for. I hate the CUbs but I do not believe there fans should stay away from any ballpark including ours. If they want to come let them come. It helps pay our salaries. We do not have to act like animals or south side pieces of s*** when others in the park route for another team. Its stupid, childish, and quite frankly it makes everyone look bad. Grow the hell up, concentrate on your team, not the other team. Pay full price for a damn ticket, stay in control, and cheer your team on. Oh and if you can't afford it, then stay home and watch it on TV like the 10 year olds do.

This sadly appears to be the new trend. Cub fans feeling they need to come to Comiskey in full uniform and root for the opponent. Then when a Sox fan takes a poke at them they dummy up.

Yes this really does seem like the new thing to do. Since they can't get a ticket do to all the so called Cubs fans that go to Wrigley they insist on coming to the cell. Now I have no problem with people coming in with their cubs stuff, just don't try to start crap with sox fans. They know exactly what their in for when they wear that crap to the game and they should accept it. Instead they wanna act like tough guys and duke it out with the sox fans.

Anyways......did anyone see the fight in right field betweensection 100 and 101. Holy crap that was frigin big. There was one security gaurd to try and stop it and he just gave up and let them go at it till he got help. One guy was beat really bad, i think there had to be like an easy 10 people in that fight if not more.

100% true and accurate.

I go to games wearing my Reds gear, or my Pirates gear, or my Cardinals gear, and it doesn't make a bit of difference. It's a SHIRT - so what?

People really really need to grow up.

It's incredibly stupid, childish, stupid, ignorant, and STUPID to get s***faced drunk and fight over nothing at a baseball game.

It's not entertaining to me at all, it's a complete embarrassment to the people who can't control themsleves in a public place.

Pathetic.

Excerpt that I just heard on the score:

Mike Mulligan: They're a gang of idiots over there. It's like the Fight Club.

Terry Boers: Yeah, it's like the Score Christmas Parties.

Hahahahhahaaa!!

Terry Boers: That's why I don't go, because I'm not a fighting man.

about a second later:

Terry Boers: I don't know what I'm talking about, either.

In my best Hawk voice: I loooove Terry Boers.

This is clearly not the same as going to a Cubs game in full Sox gear and cheering for everything bad the Cubs do and everthing that can go wrong for the Cubs. Then chanting Sox are #1 and waving your hat around and pointing at it when the Cubs are losing. Are you doing this at the games when you are wearing all of your favorite team's gear? There is a huge difference between what these morons are doing and what you do. They know what they are doing and they know what will happen when they do it. They are instigating a fight and they want a fight. That is all there is to it.

More score material:

Caller: It's obnoxious. It's like the Jerry Springer show over there. I was there last night with my kids. Most of the drunks were between the ages of 21 and 25. Anybody wearing a Cubs shirt gets harassed, ridiculed, etc. They get beers thrown on them, etc, etc. We need to do away with the half-price nights.

Boers: Sox fans just can't win, can they?

Mulligan: You have to feel bad for them, because it's just a few idiots out to make clowns of themselves.

Boers: It's sort of like the Score, isn't it?

Hahahhahahahahaaaa!!!!!

Caller: I've been going to these half-price games since 1999. This is nothing new. I mean, maybe it's a little bit worse, but not really. Cubs fans, please don't wear your Cubs outfits to the games, for the love of God.

Mulligan: I saw plenty of Sox fans wearing Sox gear at Cubs games, and nobody was saying anything to them.

Boers: If you see someone in a Cubs shirt at a Sox game and they aren't bothering anyone, shut up.

Next Caller: This is the last ever half-price game that'll I'll ever attend. I'm 51 years old, and it's simply not worth it. There were three separate altercations last night in the right field section on the first base side, and it's absolutley ridiculous that these young men can't come out to the games without making fools of themselves. I was absolutely embarassed because my son had to listen to f bomb after f bomb after f bomb.

Gene Lamont will be on shortly to weigh in on this matter.

So Southside, what you are saying is Sox fans are not responsible for anything? they start nothing right? they are little princes just sitting there waiting for a Cub fan to mock them. That is total bulls***. All of these fights were not started by Cub fans. I guess my point is I have gone to Wrigely in prior years wearing sox stuff and routing for the opposite team. So what. Why the hell would that provoke a fight. Sounds as if the youngsters get lit up and don't know how to control themselves. I predict when you are in your 30's with a family you will understand. I constantly go to games and cannot bring my kids because of all the F- bombs. Nice Sox fans. We are really high class. Drop half price night and keep the sleeze balls out of the park. For everyone that can't afford the game. Tough s***. grow up and get a job. This whole thread irritates the hell out of me. We constantly bicker with Cub fans, we are so worried about the Cubs all the time, that we simply cannot behave the right way. No wonder nobody wants to go to the park. I don't either.

Quick were there issues in your seats last night..? We have not had any troubles in our new ones.

No, no issues, in my section. We do have some issues everyonce in awhile with kids sneaking into our section, usaully teenagers that swear alot. I run them out. My concern is for the people in general. This doesn't happen much on regular game days, only on half price night. you can figure this out, the kids need to stay in control. Its completely out of hand. Every day before gametime, you hear Dave Wills trying to plead with people to come to the park. If this gets repeorted all the time, really, what father wants to take his kid to place where there are ten or twelve fights. Its nuts.

Steff i will be there Tommorrow. Jim will be with me as well. if your around love to chat with you.

I agree with you on the crowd. I gave away the rest of our Monday games after the last 1/2 price night we attended.

I know.. he told me. And, again... we're not. We'll be there tonight, Saturday and Sunday for sure. 50% chance on Friday. You should bring the kids Sunday...

My Opinion....

If you wear a Cubs hat and Cubs jersey to the Sox game when the Sox aren't playing the Cubs...then be prepared to hear some s***. Now if you compound wearing the gear with talking some smack, then be prepared to get slapped around.

It's stupid and looking for trouble...if you're the type that likes to start s***..then wear it. The only reason to come to a SOX game and wear cubs s*** is to start trouble. It's just that simple. I'm not saying sox fans are innocent or angels. I know some fights are just drunken idiots regardless of fan affiliation. I'm just saying if you are the guy wearing a Cubs jersey to a Sox Rangers game...then you are there to start s***.

If a guy was wearing cubs gear to a game I was at and they weren't playing the cubs...I'd lay into him all game....

It's simple as that to me....I wouldn't go to wrigley when they weren't playing the sox and wear my sox jersey. I mean it is just plain stuppid. It is looking for trouble and yes I have gotten PLENTY of s*** wearing that when they did play the sox. It ain't so innocent over there.

I hate when stuff like this happens. It just gives us Sox fans bad reps, especially when fellow Sox fans are happy about it. I don't like fights, I am not a fighter. I always sit in the outfield seats except for half price nights for the obvious reasons. Upper deck corner is also bad on half price nights when games are sold out.

I don't agree with you about the taking away half-price nights, but this is getting pretty damn pathetic. You know what, some of these 'Sox' fans really aren't Sox fans at all. They barely watch the game (Im not speaking about anyone here, just the drunks who are fighting), they look around for anyone in Cubbie blue or red, even if that person hasn't said a thing all day. They just look up at the scoreboard, see if the Cubs are winning or losing, without even watching the game.

You know, it's one thing if the guy is walking up and down the aisles decked out in Cubbie blue and red, and just being a total jackass (which I still wouldn't call for violence - never would, ever, unless self-defense.) But just because a guy is a fan of the team up north, doesn't mean you pour your beer on him.

Im tired of taking a black eye for these dumbasses, I wont even call them Sox fans because I don't want to be associated with anyone like that. It's truly pathetic - and if I was older and had kids, I certainly would not want them at that ballpark...

I don't like to think that Tuesday night at USCF is fight night.

That just adds to a reputation we do not need, and in fact, hurts us.

Don't worry. It looks like the White Sox Organization is putting in it's best effort to change USCF into Romper Room.

I realize you don't give a s***. That is ashame. I assume you are under 22 years old with no money, and an attitude that everyone should go to Sox games to get the attendance up. You lost me. I don't think a reputation of this s***ty behavior will bring more fans in. In addition I will predict that half price nights will be limited next year because of this kind of crap. It seems as if low life dirtbags and students are the ones who take advantage of half price nights. Your cheap on the tickets so you can drink more. That's great. s*** at least the folks at wrigley have money. I will not be attending half price night for any reason. I will not be selling my tickets to anyone under the age of 30. I hope they pull half price night, I could care less if the teenagers on this board cannot go. Work harder, get a second job, take summer school, so you can get out of school and make money. I realize I am bundling all the students together and I am sorry about but with posts like the one I just read, you deserve it.

You assume incorrectly. I am 25 years old & make pretty decent money and so what if I found the fighting in the stands amusing?

Rowand, what High School do you go to? Just wondering, I go to Oak Forest High.

Nuke, if you find this amusing, whatever, that's your choice. But fighting in the stands at a baseball game is neither the time nor place. First, I personally love the outfield seats, but with all of the fighting and swearing going on, how can any parent (Im not a parent, BTW) take their kid to the game and sit there? Outfield seats are the cheapest seats in the LD, so a lot of people like sitting there. Not if this continues.

Look - if a Cubs fan came decked in all Cubs stuff head to toe and sat down right next to me, I really wouldn't make anything of it, unless of course, he was obnoxious, ignorant, or rude. Sure, I might throw in a little jab if the Cubs were losing, and with a laugh say, 'Hey, what's going on with your club?'. But you know what, I wouldn't start rubbing it in his face or anything.

If a Cub fan was being rude to you last night, just be like, "If you're such a Cubs fan, why aren't you at home watching your team?" But a lot of the times, a Cub fan is provoked and provoked and provoked, and doused in beer, and he gets a little pissed off, and he might be the first one to throw a punch. Thus, he is looked as as the bad guy, which is terrible. Freedom made this country great - if a person can't go to The Cell, wearing whatever he/she wants without being unjustly provoked - then something is seriously wrong...

I actually like the games where there's only 15,000, because most of that 15,000 is cheering on their team, not looking for fights.

This is pathetic...

Where are you guys coming off painting these cub fans as choir boys?

They're anything but that!

I don't know if you saw it but when Texas hit the HR these obnoxious asses would not let up with the throw it back stuff. The guy turned around eventually gave them the finger but the rest of us were getting angry as well. If they hadn't shut up I think some of us would have gone up there & beaten the crap out of them. I know it's not brotherly love but damn it when it gets so bad it threatens my enjoyment of the game something has to be done!

The washroom experience didn't have much love either.

Fans decked out in Wood jerseys trashing the SOX openly.

There wasn't one fight I saw & God knows there were plenty where a cub fan didn't instigate it with his bull s*** at the top of his lungs.

So if someone yells "suckysuckysucksuck" you're supposed to throw hands?

The whole rivalry thing is juvenile.

It's one thing to do some good-natured needling of your friends, but if someone I don't know says something stupid, I simply don't acknowledge it. I refuse to engage in that s*** with someone whose opinion means nothing to me.
