Texsox
Our President needs me. I thought that was a nice touch when I received the campaign solicitation from the President and a nice autographed photo of Laura and George. I have supported Bush in prior campaigns, so I wasn't surprised by the nice form letter appeal with what actually seemed like a hand written note regarding my prior donations. If it is auto printed, it is an awesome bit of printing technology. This time I responded with a nice note that, due to the increase in gasoline prices, I had to cut back on my political donations this year and would not be making a contribution until my fuel prices dipped below $1.50. I will not even comment on the inaccuracies that were in the letter. I know some $5.15 per hour staffer will open the envelope, rip through looking for the check and probably never read my note, or if he does, will not relay it further. Yet, it seemed somewhat satisfying.

Texsox
Now I just got the phone call from Washington. I guess they didn't even wait for my written reply. She asked on a scale of 1-5 have important it was to elect Republican leadership this fall. I replied 2. She started her next script, then paused and said "I'm sorry, did you say two? When I replied yes, she hung up. If she only asked for my explaination I could have told her I think it is important to elect great leadership, I really do not care which party they come from. Texsox
That noise was you getting crossed off a donor list I know I'm going to hell for saying this but what are the chances that a person with an African-American dialect and accent, living in Washington, D.C., is a Republican? Gee, we don't think they hired just anyone to make these calls, do you.
