witesoxfan Posted February 21, 2003 Share Posted February 21, 2003 As a South Dakotan, we rarely get to see athletes at the professional level....I can only think of a few right now as it is(Mark Ellis in Oakland, Eric Piatkowski and Mike Miller in the NBA, and there are some pro football players too....lineman mostly if I remember correctly....Josh Heupel, runner up in the Heisman balloting during Oklahoma's undefeated season a few years ago, is also from South Dakota)....and it is even more rare to see a player from SoDak get traded.
