No, he's not considered a rookie. He played 3 years in Colorado, and in 155 games in 2002.

 

But he was still a steal. Give KW credit...for as much bad as KW has brought upon us, he's more than made up for it with Loaiza and Uribe.

Nice, and to see in reading the thread that people were saying Buehrle wasn't looking so sharp.  Not so bad for an iffy day. 

 

BTW, who has sole possession of 1st place now?

That's the mark of a great pitcher. Getting the job done without your best stuff. Not saying Mark is great, yet. But he's got a real good chance to be.

After a series like this, it will be interesting to watch the progess of a young overachieving team like Texas, and see if this marks the start of the fall back to earth for them. For a team that had the best offense in baseball to get shutout in back to back nights, while having one of their best pitchers beat up, could crush a fragile physce. Stay tuned.
