Flash Tizzle
Exactly how it should be: Uribe, Maggs on the roster while the Cub's have no representatives. :fthecubs

SuperSteve
Rolen has to be starting. Plus, look at the voting by fans. It will be something like this in the AL.: AL - C - IRod, 1B - Giambi, 2B - Soriano, 3B - ARod, SS - Jeter, OF - Vlad, Matsui, and Ichiro. Also, I hate to say it but supersteve is probably 100% right in how the voting will go for the All-Star game. It will be either all Yankees players or Japanese players, lol (with the exception of I-Rod and Vlad). I personally don't like how the fans vote b/c it's just the fan favorites who get voted to start and not who's having the best year. At least the backups aren't selected by the "fans" too. The second the Yankees signed A-Rod I knew the starting line-ups would be almost all Yankees, even if they we're all under the mendoza line. The NL however is usually pretty good, nice and equal amongst the teams and people who deserve it. The fans have blown it though, it all started in 2001 with the AL (Mariner) All Stars. I think if the MLB is trying this "It Counts" experiment for 2 years they should maybe try a fans have no say experiment, or maybe a fans have a little say thing. Just writing this I came up with an idea. The on-line voting stuff will remain, but voting doesn't start until the last week of June, or first week of July, and there will only be a few candidates per position based on stats, like top 5 of 6 guys, then the fans can vote for those guys. Because I will truly vomit if Jeter gets the starting job at short when Micheal Young is hitting 100+ points higher than him. And they also need to get id of the every team gets at least one all star rule. Maybe a stat saavy person could look up who is the top 5 or 6 guys per position in the AL and NL, and maybe top 10 for the outfield (not just RF,LF,CF)
YASNY
It's great to see Uribe getting props here. But hell, how can we talk about all-star 2B without mentioning the amazing Willie Harris?
Chisoxfn
Frank doesn't play 1B. Nor does Giambi. Lately I've noticed Tony Clark as the Yanks starting 1st baseman.
qwerty
Frank doesn't play 1B. But as long as they are on the ballot for that position that's where they will play come the all-star game.
DBAHO
Gimme Miggy Tejada ova Carlos Guillen for starters. Victor Martinez ova Jorge Posada should be given some consideration. Now way Giambi should be the 1B, Travis Hafner or Mike Sweeney possibly.

Yoda
I don’t want to go off topic, but who do you all see as the starting pitchers for either the AL or NL? We all saw our Esteban start for the AL last year and gave up no runs and no hits. If he keeps up the good work this year we might see him again, but this time in Houston. I agree. If the games are going to count for something as big as home field advantage than the fans are out. I've got no problem at all with that. I'll be the one to tell everyone that the public sucks if no one in MLB wants to do so. If the games are gonna go back to being joke games than let the fans vote in all 25 guys. CWSGuy406
Too bad Uribe isn't on the actual ballot. Yeah - that kind of sucks. No way he's going to get all of the write-ins needed to make a start on the AL team... That's kind of stupid, IMO. Why send out all of the All-Star ballots and not have a guy who's hitting awesome right now....

GoodAsGould
on the first base subject right now i think for the AL it has to be 1 of 2 guys.... either frank thomas or david ortiz./....
