sox-r-us
Nomar is yet to play a game....and Uribe would have no place to play and we would have not found out about him if we had played Val at 2B/3B

redandwhite
Nomar is a has-been. He will never be decent again... I wouldnt doubt if he finishes this season with a .330 average, 15 home runs, and 50 rbi's in half a season... he's that good of a hitter when healthy. Rowand44
I'm not saying I'm mad the trade didn't happen because this season has been aweseome so far and who know how it would have turned out otherwise. But it's not fair to say nomar would have been hurt with the sox, he got injured during bp iirc. Also the sox would have had Williamson another good bullpen arm and it looked like Jose was going to be traded for Freddy Garcia if everything went down... so it's not as if this trade was terrible in every aspect. mike12345
well williamson is on the dl and i think our bullpen is got enough without him

Rowand44
I doubt we could get Garcia for Jose That was one of the deals that was going to happen if the nomar trade went down. Trust me I'm very happy how things are going this year, I'm just saying that the nomar deal still wasn't awful.

They didn't have aurillia signed yet and Garcia wasn't a hot commodity, that deal would have been done.
CWSGuy406
I have finally realized this guy just says stuff so people will pay attention to him. :knob lol, just what I was going to say. First, Jeremy Reed is overrated, now- ah screw it, he's getting more attention than he deserves. Yeah, Im glad the trade didn't happen! AngelasDaddy0427
I have finally realized this guy just says stuff so people will pay attention to him. :knob Please.... The guy is on the downside of his Career and his numbers will continue to fall mark my words. If we would of made that trade it would offically killed our hopes for even a .500 season. It would of been worse then the Royals and Juan Gone.

Yeah, Im glad the trade didn't happen! The only reason that I said that Jeremy Reed is overrated is that certain posters say things about his lack of defense and range. I don't know anything else then what i've read on here as I have never seen him play except for spring training games {which he didn't do very well.} All I said by the way is that if we had the chance to trade him for a decent pitcher we should because of the fact that he is far from a sure thing even if he is as solid as you say. He's 30 years old, batted .301 last year, with 28 homer and 105 rbi's last year. He's not on the downside of his career, he's in the prime of his career. He's not on the downside of his career, he's in the prime of his career. He did dick in the month of september and the playoffs, but I think by now, you'd know that Nomar was playing with a serious injury.. If he hadn't played through it, he probably would have finished with an average around 325, a home run total of 25, and pretty much a same rbi total... past his prime, give me a break. MEANS
correct me if i am wrong but didn't nomar say he didn't want to play for us and he most likely would've been traded to the dodgers anyway? regardless i am glad it didn't happen, I like Nomar but would've been dissapointed if he played for us and really didn't want to be here. He never said he didnt want to play for the Sox. What he said, and what was being discussed and ultimately would have happened is that he would be going to LA for prospects, so naturally when asked, Nomar discussed the move to LA.
