LDF
from: http://www.blackhawkzone.com/ Here are a list of players that are eligible for the waiver draft: Goalies: Jocelyn Thibault, Steve Passmore. Defensemen: Nathan Dempsey, Phil Housley, Alexander Karpotvsev, Jon Klemm, Boris Mironov, Lyle Odelein, Steve Poapst, Jason Strudwick. Forwards: Sergei Berezin, Eric Daze, Louie DeBrusk, Theo Fleury, Casey Hankinson, Matt Henderson, Igor Korolev, Michael Nylander, Mike Peluso, Bob Probert, Steve Sullivan, Steve Thomas, Shawn Thornton, Ryan Vandenbussche, Peter White, Alex Zhamnov Since the Blackhawks can protect two goalies and they only have two goalies eligible for the draft, they will protect Thibault and Passmore, that one is certain. The Blackhawks can protect 18 position players, with no limit on the number of defensemen or forwards. who do you think the hawks will protect? Chisoxfn
I'm going to go out on a limb and say Zhamnov. By the way, how does this waiver think work? I've never heard of something like this.

I don't know who they'll protect, but here's who I'd expose: Probert, DeBrusk, Vandenbussche, White, Henderson and Peluso If all six of those guys got claimed, you wouldn't be losing that much. You can find a goon in any bar in Saskatchewan, and none of these guys bring all that much to a team.
Mr. Showtime
Originally posted by ChisoxfnBy the way, how does this waiver think work? I've never heard of something like this. From BHZ: Today at 1PM Chicago time, there will be a trade freeze throughout the NHL. All 30 teams will then be required to submit their list of 18 skaters and two goaltenders to the NHL. The protected lists are then released to the public on Wednesday by the NHL. At 11am Chicago time on Friday, the Waiver draft will take place. Basically the rules are pretty simple. Teams can not lose more than three players in the draft unless they select other players. Once a team selects a player, they need to expose somebody else. Once a team has a player selected, they can then protect another player. All playoff teams do not get to select in the first round, only the non playoff teams. No team can lose more than one goalie. Once the draft is complete on Friday, the NHL will release the results publicly. There is nowhere to view the draft as it happens since it takes place via teleconference call. LDF
in all honesty, i doubt the hawks can pick up anybody to help them from where they are picking. even tho i think there are players who are there who can help.
