1549
Based on what Frank said it sounds like he doesn't agree with having the diminished skills clause activated...hopefully he gets that his future will be determined by how he performs this season
whitesox247
Welcome Aboard 1549 Lets just hope that after our Big Hurt hits .400 this year as he implies, there will be no controversy over his body being frozen for future cloning. I think Frank can agree or disagree all he wants. The fact was he stunk two out of the past 3 seasons and the contract was in there for a reason. He seemed to admit that his play hadn't been up to par. Either way I believe Frank should of kept his mouth shut.
witesoxfan
He's gonna hit .330 40 130....and the media will still say something bad about him. If he hit .330 40 130 and Maggs hit .330 40 130....who in the hell do you give the MVP to? (and don't tell me Jason Giambi or something like that )

A 1-2 finish in MVP would be a tribute to everyone.
WhiteSoxPride3035
We'll never see the guy below a .300 batting average ever again. That is one scary hitter. He was born with a baseball bat in his hands, and he knows how to use it.

Thomas hits a homer to tie the game that we win the division in.....Maggs hits a homer on the next pitch to win it. Thomas is steady all year long.....Maggs heats up during the summer(similar to last year). However, Thomas is on fire during September(the "what have you done for me lately theory?" comes into effect....both do a little lately) And (hypothetically)both contribute equally in the postseason and are named co-MVPs of the World Series(hypothetically because there is no guarantee we will make it to the World Series and then win it). Then who do you give it to?

Then who do you give it to? Tough one wsf...I REALLY hate to say this, cuz i luv maggs all the way, but if that happens (and please God make it happen), I would have to give it to Big Hurt. He was steady all year(according to ur situation), he deserves it more. Thomas was the biggest key coming into this season, and if he does that, no doubt he should be MVP. And theres also the fact that Maggs is way underated. Lets just hope your situation comes true. That would be heaven.
witesoxfan
Damn....I still don't know who I'd choose. One actually plays defense....one really needs to come through for the season to be successful. s***....I guess I'd have to choose the Big Hurt. Now....say the same situation comes up with Colon and Buehrle....however, this time both are rock solid throughout the year....Buehrle is 23-7 with a 3.15 ERA...Colon is 20-9 with a 2.80 ERA....who do you choose? Both are solid in the postseason too....about the same, if you wanted to know.
