whitesox61382
had the bases loaded in the past week and haven' been able to get a clutch hit? I really don't like the way this team is playing right now. They lost 2 games in Oakland that they could have(should have) won, and it seems like they are finding ways to lose games that they were winning earlier in the season. With Maggs out the offense just doesn't look that dangerous. I truely believe that the Sox need to add someone like Finley to make up for the loss of Maggs(and get another starter) if this team truely wants to take a shot this year. BrandoFan
Frank and Paulie got greedy in the 8th and missed their pitches. the rest is history.
DonkeyKongerko
That game sucked. Crede can't even make contact with 89mph heat anymore. He is the king of "Slow Swing".

Mr. Showtime
Looks like the west coast Jinx has not gone away. Which is why I said I'd be happy with winning one game in this series. Things just seem to not go their way on the West Coast. As far as the clutch hitting, if they got the clutch hit every single time, they'd never lose a game. I understand one game like this is the difference sometimes between winning the division and losing it, but lets relax.

Its just that simple...the last two worked their pitches and he got lazy and screwed it up. :fyou Paulie!
hammerhead johnson
I don't know. Maybe it's just me. But I like the fact that we've had an opportunity to win every one of these games so far on this trip. It sure as hell beats getting slammed like 23 to 2 or whatever the scores were last year and the year before. Lighten up. Our starting pitching has been phenomenal on this trip. Their combined ERA would probably be below 2.00 if not for that home run that Schoeneweis served up to Boone.

Paul Konerko's average with RISP=.380 Paul Konerko's average with RISP AND 2 OUTS=.381 Paul Konerko's stats with the bases loaded=.667 Nobody comes through all the time. Get off Konerko's jock. I would hate to lose 2 of 3 to this SORRY team.

I would hate to lose 2 of 3 to this SORRY team. I expect the Sox to have a great record at home. 50-31, perhaps. That means we could go 40-41 on the road and still win 90 games. And if Loaiza, Buehrle, Garland, and Schoeneweis continue to pitch like this on the road (with a combined 2.50 ERA on this west coast trip thus far), we'll win more than 90 games. Remember, we still get to play like 50 more games against the likes of Detroit, Cleveland, and Kansas City. There is nothing to b**** and moan about. However, if you want to talk s*** about Koch, be my guest.
elrockinMT
I think it may be possible that Juan Uribe is a flash in the pan. I watched the game on Fox today and they kept making remarks about how Walker is trying hard to work with Uribe. When he swings he tries to hit every ball into the stands and his back foot is sliding around. Psycho Lyons said that all Uribe will be able to do is pop up to left. He said that wa the knock on Uribe in Colorado. I say we trade the bum if he doesn't get that swing corrected.

CWSGuy406
Hey... temper temper.. Sorry - I'm a bit tired after watching three games at Notre Dame for the Regionals at ND. I had a great time too, but I'm a little pissed now because I got burned up there. Ill explain more in Future Sox. (BTW, Just wanted you to know JReed - I did not like what I saw from Grant Johnson of Notre Dame.)

Rex Kickass
I noticed this when Jose went on the DL too. The offensive chemistry changes and we get stuck in a doldrum for a few games. We'll score 2 or 3 runs a game for a week and then get used to the situation and start blasting again.

I think I would agree, but the offense gets a bit to aggressive sometimes and I think that gets us in trouble against pitchers who change speeds or are just junk throwers. They need to all take a chill pill when facing such pitchers and lay back waiting for the right one to hit.
israel4ever
Re. some of the previous postings under this topic... 1) Konerko is almost hitting well enough to trade his slow, sorry ass! 2) Notre Dame sucks! ND football sucks! ND hoops sucks! (Chris Zorich, Orlando Woolridge, etc., were/are pussies!)

Maybe you're just a piece of s***. Paulie's been fine. I'd rather have him being the "piece of s***" like he has been this year compared to what he was doing last year. If he's a piece of s*** this year for maybe not getting a clutch hit or two, then what the hell was he last year when he was hitting .180? :dips***
