"Borchard's not going anywhere''

I can't believe this hasn't been poster, link.

When a local report tabbed the White Sox as Garcia's most likely new home, Sox GM Kenny Williams didn't exactly know how to respond.

"Great for us,'' Williams said. "I'm really happy to hear that.''

On a more serious note, Williams didn't deny the speculation. But he did quash rumors that Class AAA outfielder Joe Borchard would be a part of the proposed trade for Garcia.

"Borchard's not going anywhere,'' Williams said.

whats this mean exactly.. has Borchard passed Reed in terms of talent in the eyes of Kenny Williams?  because Seattle is going to get a top prospect from some team, and if its not Borchard, its either Reed or Freddy ain't coming.

No they're not.

Garcia's in the last year of his contract, and, quite frankly, he has been less the good his past two years.

Rowand and Rauch may be the best offer Seattle gets.

I was afraid they'd ship Joey B off in a deal. I'm glad to see KW has that attitude. I also read somewhere that KW has deemed Reed as an untouchable. That may be just to build him up for trade value, though.
