Whenever Botch throws the 3rd 1-2-3 inning in his life ( which will probably be in mop up work with a 10 run lead or defecit ) and his last 1 or 2 bandwagon members start singing his praises again this thread is gonna get bumped & the scorn coming from the Nukester will be something to behold.

Hello... you’re online!

When I posted that I was nearly laughing since everyone else was talking about Koch being strapped in C4.

That statement came out of you. If you were just joking around then I’m pretty sure I was joking around as well.

Once again, this is the Internet.

How bout this. If I agree to stop wanting him blown up you stop talking about shooting him in the arm.

Deal?

Why not just put Koch on the DL without performing any tests on him at all, ala Joe Borowski style. Anyone else find that kind of odd?

What I find odd is how they BSed the Prior situation, they've BSed the Wood injury, no one knows about Sosa and now this Borowski crap. Why have they not been fined my MLB for not being fully honest about their injuries? Shanahan was slapped by the NFL.

Were any interviews conducted last night with Ozzie? If so, did he still say "Billy Koch is my closer"

I think he was unhappy about the walks issued by Botch.

"Right now, it's too early for me [to think about changes]," Guillen said. "I might change my mind tomorrow or the next day."

Considering the way Shingo Takatsu has pitched, Guillen could do worse than call on the veteran closer from the Japan League.

Takatsu pitched another perfect inning Sunday in the eighth to run his streak to 13 consecutive batters retired, and has been perhaps the Sox's most consistent reliever.

Guillen has said he doesn't mind Koch getting beaten by giving up hits, but he can't stand the walks.

"The walks are going to kill you," Guillen said.

OK thanx. It sounds like even Ozzie will finally change his mind.

I yield.

I give up.

I surrender.

This team can't win with Koch as a closer.  He turned a 3-2 west coast trip to a 1-4 trip.

Just be glad he didn't turn a 3-2 ALDS win into a 3-1 ALDS loss.

Then again, the way he and White sabotaged 2003 season, he's done enough damage to last a lifetime.
