Old Socks
We are asking for another one here and now. Mike jackson comes in for his mop up role and gives up a quick five. 14 to 11.

qwerty
The whole point is even though we did not give up a run is that it did not have to be this closeat all.
mac9001
It was still the wrong decision to leave Jackson in for the 9th. He didn't have it today and letting him pitch to Thome is just asking for trouble.
greasywheels121
Though we won...someone made a good point in the game thread..... It's pretty sad when you've scored 14 runs, and you're still nervous in the 9th....
SoxAce
I'll take the win..

Old Socks
I wonder if Mike Jackson is waiting to be released.

witesoxfan
I'd like the pen to be a little deeper then it is. When you only have two pitchers you can count on, you're in a s***load of trouble. Koch is a gas can, Politte is shaky, Jackson can't be trusted, and Adkins and Cotts are mopup pitchers. Why not send Cotts down and call up Wunsch? Even if he's not 100%...let him figure it out up here.

It's when he starts becoming "Kochy" and throws fastball after fastball after fastball, that's when he gets hit hard. But just mix in the change and the slider, along with the 96 MPH heater, and he's pretty damn good.

There is still an empty spot, but I assumed that was to make room for another move that is looming on the horizon.
Yoda
I agree Jackson wasn’t as good. He was actually bad. When he let that 3 run Home Run go by, it wasn’t funny anymore. 3 runs in the ninth is not good. The Phillies weren’t going to give up, but when Politte came into the game, they couldn’t hit.
