redandwhite
Bill Parcells apologized Monday for calling the surprise plays used in practice "Jap plays," saying the remark was inappropriate. The league said Tuesday that it will not take any action nor will it review the Cowboys coach's comments. I hate when the media makes a mountain out of a mole hill, this is so stupid. DBAHO
Been blown out of proportion. He's apologized already, I don't think it affected the players at all.
Palehosefan
Thats how sensitive America has become, I'm just suprised he didn't get sued over it lol.

chimpy2121
i think its more of using the word "jap" and some people were offended by "oriental"
Goldmember
classifying japanese people as "sneaky" or "tricky" I guess, but I, like you am wondering how thats not a complement ;o but it's referring to a historical event (pearl harbor) moreso than it is referring to their ethnicity... YASNY
Considering Parcell's age, he grew up in an era that "Jap" was commonly used. I agree, this is overhill on the media's part.

Queen Prawn
Considering Parcell's age, he grew up in an era that "Jap" was commonly used. I agree, this is overhill on the media's part. It also fueled the name change of Jap's Potato Chips ... now known as Jay's. From what I understand it was a Polish name that was cut down to create the name of the potato chip.
