greg775
Obviously we all hope Crede has an incredible season. My question to you is ... what will Crede hit? I have absolutely no idea. Whomever knows Crede the best, give me his stats for this upcoming season. Also on another note: Will all of you be devastated if somehow we lose to the pathetic Royals on opening day or is anything possible in baseball and you won't be mad? I just think we need to sweet the amazingly bad Royals.
mac9001
For Crede i'll say .275, 28 HR's, 90 RBI's with 120 K's and 15 BB's
soxfan420
For Crede i'll say .290, 30 HR's, 90 RBI's with 110 K's and 20 BB's

Rex Hudler
Just a guess, but I think Crede will hit the following: .270 19HR 72RBI 242B 112K 42BB 6SB And with those numbers, we should be very happy. They should only get better in time.
bulokis
I think he will hit about .285, 25HRs, 70 RBIs, 80K's and 30BBs. I think he is capable of hitting more HRs. I really like Crede. At last we have a great defense and bat in the hot corner since Robin Ventura.

mac9001
Remember this, Crede was in ST before even one pitcher reported, he's been working really hard to make sure he puts up good numbers. I think he can...
IlliniKrush
Numbers like those listed above for any 7 hitter are excellent. A typical 7 hitter could hit like .240 with 15 home runs and 60 rbis or something. God this lineup is going to be ridiculously explosive this season. BrandoFan
Obviously I expect more out of Crede than I would from, say, Borchard at this point anything above 825-850 OPS and above-average defense (which would mean he'd have to be better than Perry, Norton, Valentin, Leifer or Graffanino that's for sure) will be just great. Let me put it another way: as long as outperforms Mark Belhorn by a wide margin, I am happy. Major League pitchers are notorious for being able to make lethal adjustments and many good hitters go through slumps in the year following breakout one. Last year they jamming him with high fatsballs and made him chase slow stuff in the dirt. He adjusted and dominated them. Now it's their turn...So I wouldn't be surprised if Joe struggles a bit before figuring it out for good. .280/25/80 is about right. If he can start walking (I doubt it tho), the numbers will be great. Even better from a Good Glove infielder hitting from the 7th spot

YASNY
In general, I believe you guys are expecting too much from Crede for his first full season. We've got the sticks around him to carry him, so if he hits .260-15-65 and gives us good leather work, it should be good enough.

Soxfest
Crede may struggle this year , but he will be an allstar within 3 years tops......great prospect
Pete_SSAC
My question to you is ... what will Crede hit? A baseball? Oh, I'm so damn funny. - Pete, who thinks he'll hit around... .280, if he indeed is hitting a baseball.

witesoxfan
I hope he has a great year....mainly because he is a Sox player. But I got him on my fantasy team...so I hope he does great. And Pete.....that was bad.
Chisoxfn
I don't expect quite the numbers everyone else does. I see something like .250-.260 with 20-30 hr's and 70 rbi's or so. That being said, it wouldn't shock me to see .285, 30-35 hr's, 100 rbi's.
Mathew
Be modest all. .255 18hr and 75 rbi from the seven guy playing good d is just fine.
whitesox247
My guess would be something like .289 28HR 72 RBIs As for losing to the royals on first game of season, it would be pretty SAD (like all sox losses), but i wouldnt be devastated as its just 1 game outta
Okgoh
As long as we are just guessing= .290 27 80 with 100+ so's and 25 errors at 3rd base. If allowed to play full season. sorry

clujer420
he has been hyped forever...under a lot of pressure..lets cut him some slack I disagree. The Sox lineup SHOULD score so many runs that Joe won't be under much pressure at all IMO. You guys are suggesting numbers like .280 25 100, and he's going to be our 7th guy, and our 6th biggest threat or so. The 6th biggest threat in the lineup doesn't have any pressure on him, and he SHOULD see some good pitches (since he'll be at the bottom of the order and teams won't want to dick around with him and put him on base). That said, we shouldn't expect too much out of him. Just solid defense and timely basehits will suffice.
greg775
YOu are right that one series doesn't matter, but the Royals are so horsecrap it'd be nice to beat KC and the Tigers in all but say four games this season.
CubsSuck1
Crede hit .333 in september last year..............
