Sox Organization

Who's "cool" with them..? They are a necessary evil at this point. And they aren't the fault of the Sox.. talk to Bud.. he forced the hand. Doesn't mean I, or anyone else, supports them. IMO, of course.

I'd rather them not be anywhere because I usually get mad and end up smarting off at one when they stand in front of me when I am trying to watch the game.

Regardless.. it was OUR fault for not getting up there a bit earlier

Ya it's a conspiracy. The Sox want to sell less beer. Screw the revenue, that'll show us. Nothing to do with everyone complaining about the drunken fighting.

i have no problem if they put some sort of limits on beer

I had NO problem with the restrictions.

Frog in the frying pan. Take it all away at once and you'll have a revolution. Take it away a little at a time and they'll give it willingly. Gotta love it. Well, I don't.

I got an idea...Don't go.

Stay home and drink as many Beers as you want.

The fact it doesn't bother some of us seems to irritate you more than the beer restrictions themselves...weird.

I can't speak for anyone else, but yea.. it's our fault for not getting up there earlier. Heaven for bid they check tickets... :headshake

I mean why not just let everyone in so I can get to my seat and have some asshole sitting there and have to deal with that..

I agree with you there. I don't like having some guy sitting in my seat either, but how many ticket checks do we need to go through? First, at the turnstiles, then at the entrance to the concouse, then at your aisle, and if you're in between the dugouts, periodically throughout the game. It justs seems a bit much to me for an organization that is begging people to come to the park. That's all I'm trying to say.

My  is because you're failing to see the entire point. It's not all about the beer. It's the bigger picture. Maybe I'm not making myself clear enough. If not, I apologize.

Nature of the beast I suppose. I don't find it a big deal to flash my ticket.

And, btw, we sit in 127 and have never been checked between innings while in our seats.. :huh

Wow! I didn't realize there would be so many Sox apologists on here.

I'm shocked to see so many "anti drunken brawling" apologists here...

I, for one, would be ALL FOR a section with no vendors at all roaming the aisles, stopping in front of me while I'm trying to watch the game, etc.

I'll take the walk to the concourse if I want a beverage, it's not that hard to do.

There were no beer venders between the foul poles. In other words, the outfield. And only one beer per person at the stands. While I think it's a bulls*** rule, I understand why they felt they had to do it but, you should be warned when you buy those tickets that you will not receive the same service as in other parts of the park.

They've alienated most of Chicago. Then they alienated the upperdeck people. Now it's the outfield. This organization is so screwed up it's silly. They have the absolute worst PR department in MLB. I am so sick and tired of being treated like I'm an asshole because I like the cheap seats. I'm scum because I sit in the Upper deck and the outfield.

Also, at the top of the ramp we had to wait in a 15 minute line while 1, yes 1! security guard checked to make sure we had lower level seats. Come see all the new things at the park...unless you bought an upper deck ticket, you scum bucket!

Screw this organization!  :fyou

make the effort to get off your ass and get your own beer :stick

All I can say is, it was a pleasant experience out there last nite vs. the other 1/2 price game I attended earlier this year.

Beer restrictions and more security = less fights. May not be the absolute 100% correlation, but I'm sure it played a part.

As for the ticket checks, I have no problem with it. Security everywhere is tighter these days, not just at the ballpark. When I sit in Quick's seats, a friendly "hello" to the usher at the beginning of the game and generally they don't ask for the ticket again.

No vendors in the aisles? LOVED it. Less distractions, although I do realize it's those folks livelihood and I feel bad about that.

One beer per purchase limit? No problem. Tons of people on the concourse and the lines moved fast.
