ChiSox_Sonix
I think Jacque Jones would look real good with the Sox if we lose Maggs. i was thinking the same thing Orlando Cabrera wouldnt be too bad either
redandwhite
coughcoughChaHoParkcoughcough *cough*new time, new market*cough* Derek Lowe whose agent is Scott Boras, is more deserving than Loaiza to get 10, and people are saying he might only get 7. Loaiza's been great, but I'd be real hesitant to give a guy who normally pitches well until locked up for years at a time, 10 million a year. Texsox
We could put together a nice rotation of Buerhle Cotts Rauch Diaz Wright if healthy or Munoz Total maybe $8,000,000 That's a dream rotation.
redandwhite
i was thinking the same thing Orlando Cabrera wouldnt be too bad either No Cabrera... Uribe at short, Crede at third, Willie at second and then promote either Reed or Borchard to take over Maggs' spot.
Gene Honda Civic
Derek Lowe Derek Lowe of the 6.55ERA Lowe's? Lowe would have commanded more last year. But if you put together his season last year, and projectied this year. 4.47ERA 200IP More Hits than IP 6+ ERA Boras probably could get 7MIL for that, but that doesn't compare at all to Loaiza. YASNY
I wouldn't consider the odds of Loaiza staying with the Sox any better than 60-40.
GoodAsGould
what are the odds of us getting glaus... especially if we dish crede in a trade this season which as much as i like him i wouldnt really mind......
YASNY
I think we should hold on to Crede. He's got the tools to be a good solid ballplayer. He will put it all together soon. Good 3B's are hard to come by. If Josh Fields can rocket through the system and push Crede aside, great. He'd have more trade value as an established ML 3B. DBAHO
With the new cable deal, that gives Reiny a lot more money as well. Will he use it the right way? We shall see. How much money will JR and the Sox be gettin from the cable deal?

Lowe pitched his best game of the season so far, 7 innings no ER I believe and he still didn't pick up the win.
DBAHO
who on earth would give Esteban Loaiza 10 million dollars a year? Would you rather give Freddy Garcia or Esteban Loaiza $10 million a year.
