WhiteSoxFan1
Hey thanks knightni, Im also a big Fighting Irish fan!! hopefully they can bounce back after a tough season and losing Julious Jones. I think Brady Quinn can be a decent quarterback this year if he could get some time in the pocket this year.
knightni
Well, hang around and enjoy this place! Many folks here including myself make signatures like that and even better. If you want one just ask!
NUKE_CLEVELAND
One thing that really registered with me was the post game interview with Shingo when he told reporters that "in Japan, this is the standard". I'm glad to see that he's bringing his own high standards here to Chicago.
Jordan4life_2007
That was a beautiful 9th inning by, Shingo. He made 3 very good hitters look flat out silly. I'm pretty sure he's the closer now. Even if Ozzie doesn't come out and say it.
CWSGuy406
Yeah - I'm a little shaky when all of our relievers sans Marte and Shingo are in. We could use another righty in the bullpen, that's for sure. But let's leave that to Kenny and just enjoy this team!

I'm really not to fond of Cliff Politte being thrust into the RH setup role. He's almost as scary to watch as Koch and will not do the trick if we plan on going anywhere in the playoffs. The Critic
I'm SO glad to see a 1-2-3 9th inning! And SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO is so much fun to say!!!! for the Japanese Jimmy Fallon, SHINGO TAKATSU!!!!
SoxFan1
What about Jon Adkins and Mike Jackson? They have both done an awesome job out of the bullpen this year.
YASNY
Yes, a 1-2-3 ninth was something to see. But what was even better was having a feeling of confidence when the inning started. It sure wasn't the familiar dread I felt when it was Billy Koch.
Old Socks
Last year Koch's major contribution to the team was when he went on the DL. I bet it happens again this year.

bulokis
My wife and I were there yesterday, it was great to see 3 hitters on the ninth getting fooled big time with Shingo's pitches. Everybody was standing up and supporting Takatsu at the game. Shingo is definitely our closer.
Texsox
Shingo for Rookie of the Year If he finishes the season as closer and continues on this pace.
qwerty
What about Jon Adkins and Mike Jackson? They have both done an awesome job out of the bullpen this year. Adkins has been lucky so far with his high whip and jackson has been far from awesome.
SoxAce
Adkins has been lucky so far with his high whip and jackson has been far from awesome. Adkins I can semi agree with you but Jackson has been solid. Forget about that outing where he got roughed up. He has been stellar out of the bullpen. Got us out of some tough jams if I recall. He has been solid.

AngelasDaddy0427
I may be in the minority but I wanted to strangle Harold Baines when he left Politte in there. I was so pissed, just glad he didn't blow it...

AngelasDaddy0427
Shingo should of been closer the entire year... Shingo is awsome....
Wise Master Buehrle
Shingo should of been closer the entire year... Shingo is awsome.... Unfortunately he was sketchy during Spring Training and for the first week of the seasons, and rightfully so they were careful with him. He's really come into his own now, and it's very very nice to see. Although Ozzie won't guarantee anyone the closers spot, I think we will see Shingo somehow being his "gut feeling" more often than not.
