Steff
Hey if Derek Jeter can be an allstar with his .235 BA, why not Carlos Lee??? Because Carlos Lee isn't as endearing to the voters as Jeter is.
DBAHO
Because Carlos Lee isn't as endearing to the voters as Jeter is. And he doesn't play in New York.

Wedge
You can definitely make a case of EL. Who are the other AL rookies making a splash? If Shingo has a great second half, like we all think we can (around 20 saves or so), he can definitely get ROY.
Rex Hudler
Frank is the best 1B in the American League, hands down. Who's putting up better numbers? Ortiz has more RBIs Here's your AL 1B rankings: 1) Frank 2) Ortiz 3) Hafner 4) Sweeney 5) Konerko Problem is....... Frank doesn't play 1B. Wedge
What position did he make the 2000 All-Star game at?
Yoda
MB has a very good chance of going. I have hopes for Esteban, but he just hasn’t been the same as last year. His 4.05 ERA says it all. If it were down to at least 3.30 I wouldn’t have a problem, but Buehrle is the one that deserves to go.
witesoxfan
What position did he make the 2000 All-Star game at? IIRC, Thomas was not an all-star in 2000.
qwerty
Ortiz and Hafner arent even on the ballot. Because a s*** load of the boston faithful write ortiz in.
SoxFan1
I think Loaiza can be an All-Star just by what he did last year, the fact that he got snubbed out of a CY Young, the fact that he hasn't been a 1 year wonder, and because he might get 8-10 wins byt the All-Star break. How did Loaiza get snubbed...? Halliday didn't deserve it..??

J. Westbrook, Cle T. Hudson, Oak M. Mulder, Oak C. Schilling, Bos C. Sabathia, B. Radke, Min 14 F. Garcia, Sea 12 J. Vazquez, NYY R. Halladay K. Escobar, Ana C. Sabathia, Cle M. Buehrle, CWS P. Martinez, Bos Al have a much much better chance of making the all-star game this year unless loaiza really steps it up.

Loaiza wasn't snubbed. I think if he had pitched well down the stretch and led the Sox to the playoffs he would have gotten it. But, we all know he pitched crappy when we needed him the most last year.
