Pierre and Castillo were left handed.

Lee, Cabrera, Pudge, Lowell, Conine, and Gonzalez were all right handed.

;)

And I dont think the Mets are trading anyone unless they are buyers, so Glavine, Lieter, are probably dreams unless they experience a melt down.

what about buehrle?

Brando doesn't believe he's an ace, thats fine, thats his opinion. I on the other hand do believe buehrle can be considered an ace. That being said a top of the rotation starter is obviously still the biggest need for the white sox. Adding on to what I said before about the marlins only having 2 lefties in their lineup last year in pierre and castillo(switch hitter) I think another left handed bat could still be very helpful I just don't think it's a pressing need. In order this is what I think the sox need:

1. Top of the rotation starter.

2. Bullpen arm.

3. Left handed bat.

:headshake That's great brando I have a different opinion then you so I'm an idiot.

I think what Brando means (My apologies if this isn't what you mean) is a playoff proven ace.

Buerhle is damn good - but what has he done in the playoffs? Granted, he's only been there once, but adding a Glavine or a Johnson (Johnson should probably be in deep pink) would give us a playoff proven ace with a damn good number two (Buerhle) right behind him.

I agree with wanting a top of the rotation starter and if he means a playoff proven ace then fine but thats not what he said. If he doesn't think buehrle is an ace thats fine with me but in my opinion I think buehrle can definitely be considered an ace. If he doesn't think so thats fine but no need to call me an idiot because I believe he's an ace, I'm sure there is others who feel the same way I do.

I'd have to say, look elsewhere.  If the best we can do to replace Koch is another Koch, I really don't see the point.

He has shown no loss in velocity such as koch sow i would not be worried about him. Just one really bad outing that he gave up 5 runs other that he has been lights out.

The only reason I'd want him is because he played with Ozzie last year, and maybe, just.. maybe that might affect his performance somewhat.

If he can be had for extremely cheap, I say go for it.

Like Seattle, the Tiggies want young position prospects in return for Urbina. They've got some pitching prospect already in Verlander and Kyle Sleeth. ;)

Compare Urbina's numbers this year to Koch.  Wtf do we want him for?

When Urbina was traded to the Marlins in the 2nd half of 2003, he was lights out.

This year, outside of the Baltimore outing, he is still pretty damn tough. But playing on a 4th place team, I am sure he would be even better while playing for a contender.

Of course, an ace starter is STILL BY FAR Sox' biggest need. Urbina would be a great addition to Marte, Wunsch and Shingo, and he is 3 times cheaper than Old Man Smoltz and 3 times as available.......

1. Glavine/Garcia

2. Finley

3. Urbina

Then again, knowing the Sox, I am sure we'll settle for Tracksell and Cedeno. :headbang :cheers

Um, Wunsch is done in this organization. Also, I would take Trachsel.

Ok guys. I'm convinced. I was not aware of his one bad appearance. I was just looking at the overall stats. Urbina can help us.

Let see say this. Listening to what another poster says and allow them to change your mind or even admitting you were wrong... well, it's absolutely painless. :D
