Guest JimH
My gosh, is this Andres Torres on fire or what? Who's seen him recently, how's his defense and arm? When he played for the Tigers, he played CF if I recall correctly. He might be a good insurance policy in case somebody gets hurt, traded, etc.

Guest JimH
Yes, he can run, that I do remember from seeing him. He beat out an infield single the game I saw him, and it was a fairly routine grounder to 2nd. Jason ... is that Radke avatar intended to jinx Radke, or what? If so, please keep it ... if not, any time you want to change it so I don't have to look at that smarmy mug of his, it's fine by me

dasox24
Nobody has said anything about Smith's 7 rbi's. I mean, I know he's not a prospect, but still, he deserves some props for having 7 rbi's in one game.
MnSoxFan
(Hickory, NC) – Kannapolis (30-33) completed their second series sweep of the season clipping the Crawdads 4-3 Monday night at L.P. Frans Stadium in Hickory. Micah Schnurstein’s lead off homer off Crawdads starter Josh Shortslef in the fourth inning broke the scoreless tie. David Cook was hit by Shortslef in the same inning and scored on Chris Young’s double. Intimidators starter Rafael Flores (4-4) was impressive in his ninth start of the season and first vs. Hickory. The right-hander surrendered two runs on four hits in seven innings pitched with eight strikeouts for his fourth win.. After retiring the first ten batters, Flores surrendered a base hit to Craig Stensberry in the fourth inning. Stansberry tied the game with a two-run shot in the sixth off Flores. Chris Young delivered in the clutch breaking the logjam with a two run double off Hickory reliever Yoann Torrealba scoring Leo Daigle and Micah Schnurstein in the eighth inning. Torrealba was saddled with the loss. In the bottom half, Hickory (35-29) pulled within a run, 4-3, on a Jon Benick Single with two outs scoring Bobby Kingsbury. Fernando Hernandez (1) notched his first Intimidators save shutting down the Shellfish 1-2-3 in the ninth inning to end the game. The Intimidators have won four straight games for just the second time all season. They accomplished the feat May 10-13 against the Greensboro Bats. Jordan4life_2007
Nice to see Reed get back on track. I can't believe in a gm where the Knigjts scored 15 runs Borchard did nothing.
