HuskyCaucasian
KC wants a 3rd Baseman and a Catcher to slip in play ASAP

CWSGuy406
Padres interested, Marlins interested, Yanks interested. But a lot of question marks, resigning him, etc etc.
WHarris1
Want catcher and 3rd. Yankees could do it. Marlins want in. No catcher. Royals will have trouble dealing fast.

HuskyCaucasian
Pretty much nothing new. I think KC is asking too much for a rent a player.
SuperSteve
T-Mac for the Vikings? Yeah, that's just how I roll...
DBAHO
Want catcher and 3rd. Yankees could do it. Marlins want in. No catcher. Royals will have trouble dealing fast. Yankees can't do it. Don't hav a 3rd baseman, only hav Dioner Navarro and a free Jose Contreas which will be offered for Freddy Garcia instead. Marlins would offer prospects, but I think they want pitching instead. Padres are still the favs in my book since they can offer Burroughs and Xavier Nady, but they might want Steve Finley instead. Mets won't offer David Wright which takes them out of the race. SuperSteve
Beltran's price is going to slip, badly. KC will be lucky to get half of what they're asking, IMHO.
DBAHO
He's goin to the Padres, Dodgers or Athletics. You can book it.
knightni
The Dodgers may have the best shot at him.. Oakland and San Diego wouldn't want to sacrifice too much to get him.
Guest JimH
White Sox not mentioned at all re: Beltran. But it is the Baseball Tonight guys, so hey, who knows. So maybe KW is not shopping Crede in a Beltran deal?
DBAHO
The Dodgers may have the best shot at him.. Oakland and San Diego wouldn't want to sacrifice too much to get him. Billy Beane always gets a quality bat at the dealine, like Justice and Jose Guillen. He can offer Mark Teahen and Barry Zito, the deal is done. knightni
Zito is not leaving Oakland any time soon for a rental player.. You heard it here first.

Mr. Showtime
Gammons and crew brought up some good points. 1. Most of the teams in the Beltran race are in the Garica race, most teams want the pitching first, so they won't part with what it'll take to get Beltran first. 2. KC is being odd about this, they should be getting the best players regardless of where they play. If they can get some good prospects for Beltran they can always move those guys in a trade for what they need.

YASNY
i'm glad the sox werent mentioned... i really dont want him and i dont think we need him... I wouldn't mind adding Beltran, but I damn sure don't want to give up Crede to get him for 3 months. And Miguel Olivo is abso-f***ing-lutely out of the question.
