Rowand44
This just scrolled through the bottom line that the royals released Leskanic. His era is awful this year but he was very good last year and he has a great arm. I would love to see the sox sign him cheap and give him a shot. Thoughts?? sox-r-us
If it is a minor league deal then that is fine

DBAHO
Buyer Beware He sucks this year. Don't all KC pitchers? I'd definitely like to see him on the South Side, Coop was do a good job with him, he was an excellent reliever for the Brewers I recall. Wise Master Buehrle
How come if we sign him I see us having another Jose Paniagua experiance with him? :headshake
DBAHO
How come if we sign him I see us having another Jose Paniagua experiance with him? :headshake Didn't Jose Panigua miss a year? I'm sure some team like Texas will sign Leskanic to help their pen.

southsider2k5
I agree with the minor league deal idea. Let the scouts see if he is fixable, while at the sametime, not risking the big league games.
dasox24
I'd love to pick him up. Like said before, he was really good last year and could probably be fixed.
knightni
Leskanic has a history of arm trouble. He could have an injury (ie. Danny Wright) and just didn't let KC knowabout it.
YASNY
Leskanic has a history of arm trouble. He could have an injury (ie. Danny Wright) and just didn't let KC knowabout it. True. Or he could just simply be "done".
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
Politte/Leskanic. Too close to call.
Wedge
Politte/Leskanic. Too close to call. at least we know what we have in Politte. Do we really want a guy that the Royals cut?

IlliniKrush
A minor league deal wouldn't hurt He could be done, he could just suck, or he could just need a change of venue
MnSoxFan
Release Koch outright, pick up Leskanic, we would be a better team for it, Koch has lost his confidence, he imploded big time in Seattle, cannot imagine him getting it back.
Wedge
Now that puts it in perspective. Thanks chief. And I don't think Koch has lost his confidence. I think if you put him on the mound, he feels he's going to get guys out. His problem is his stuff has deteriorated and his location is pretty bad right now. If he can at least improve his location, he'll be a little better off (maybe a solid middle-relief guy, who knows).
MnSoxFan
He imploded, was not holding guys on, he still has stuff, but he cannot do anything with it, he will never be crap for us anymore, release him. Leskanic can pitch in setup role, Koch will not.
Reddy
just get him, let Coop see if he can fix him up this year. It's not like it'd cost much and it'd be relatively low-risk.
RibbieRubarb
I like the idea of us look for Set-up guys since Shingo started closing. It will be easier to get them in trades than closers.
