AngelasDaddy0427
This team was set up for failure. I'm not just talking about no Frank Thomas. I'm not just talking about a struggling Shoe. I'm talking about the most irresponsible and idioctic move I have ever seen in baseball. Jose Valentin hitting clean up! As soon as I saw that I knew the game was over. That brings me to ask why in the world Ozzie was tempted to put our most streaky hitter in such a crucial spot. I know Ozzie has some Jose lovefest (Most likely because it makes his own performance at shortstop look like a hall of fame career) but there is no excuse for Jose EVER EVER EVER to be in that spot. Ok had to vent that.... GO SOX AND GET THEM TOMMARROW!

And about shoeny he actually did not pitch that bad of game because that pitch lowell hit out was a damn good pitch that is hard to hit let alone hit for a homerun. CWSGuy406
Jeckle - it's tommorow. At first I thought it was a typo, but you've done it a couple of times and it bugs me when I keep seeing it. Tommorow - not tommarow. And that's all for the English lesson class!

greasywheels121
If we're going to have English class here...We have to go all the way.... The double negative in the thread just shows the pure genius of Jeckle.
CWSGuy406
Well, you were right about the 'A', just got your Rs and Ms confused. Well - thank you for the correction, it is always appreciated. At least 'tomorrow', I'll know how to spell 'tomorrow.'
witesoxfan
valentine VALENTIN. No 'e' My biggest pet peeve ever. Regardless, Jose batting cleanup is not that big of a deal. Make a mountain out of a mole hill why don't you. He's probably the most versatile hitter in the lineup. We didn't lose because Jose was batting cleanup, we lost because we only got 3 hits. The double negative in the thread just shows the pure genius of Jeckle. I cannot think of how to say what he said withOUT using the double negative. All I know is that "something" should be "anything". "I can't belive that nobody has said anything yet".

"I can't belive that nobody has said anything yet". Actually, I think the double negative is correct in this instance: You can't say "I can't believe anyone has said anything yet." But - you could also say "I can't believe anyone hasn't said anything yet." But that sound a little odd. Soxtalk has become Grammar 101. JUGGERNAUT
If you had bother to look at the May Evaluation thread you might have realized that.. Starter Bats: FT(921) > JV(873) > PK(843) > JU(819) > CL(806) > MO(723) > JC(444) Jose Valentin was second to Frank Thomas in total production for the month of May. I've not done Jun yet, but he had a strong April before going on the DL. The problem as you can see is the w/out Maggs the drop-off is substantial from Lee to Crede. Frank needs to play every game in the NL park when Maggs isn't in there.
BrandoFan
Jose Valentin hitting clean up! I know you're a retard and all, so usually I ignore your posts.... Coming into today's game, a slumping Valentin had a 960+ OPS versus right-handed pitching. That was second highest on the team only behind Thomas, much higher than either Lee or Konerko, the two players I am sure you wanted to see in the clean-up spot instead, preferrably at the same time. But I am sure it's just a case of Latino Love on Ozzie's part.
cwsox
LOL, thats awesome. He tries to make a point, make the guy look stupid, and he is wrong to! since this is a grammar and spelling thread, that would be "and he is wrong too !"
Wise Master Buehrle
Without Frank OR Maggs (which is a given) in the lineup, we are not a formidable threat. Frank works counts, sees pitches, makes the pitcher work, jacks up his pitch total (IF FRANK DOESN'T START TODAY AGAINST LIMITED PITCH COUNT BECKETT THEN :fyou), and is just... the man. You could tell this offense is worthless without either in the lineup. Replace that with Konerko, who by all means is a good offensive player, he just isn't as good as Frank. southsider2k5
The only problem is that Paul Konerko is a pure fastball hitter. They really should have ran Frank out there yesterday and PK today.
