Guest JimH
So now we have two Josh Fields in the organization - the 1st round draft choice and the right handed reliever who has been putting up some very impressive numbers at Birmingham. I think this guy is 23, going on 24 and has been making a steady climb. Rex, what's your impression?

Cerbaho-WG
I have seen Rex call him a bulldog, not the greatest stuff, but he gets it done and competes hard. I want to say he throws a fastball-slider combo but I'm not positive. Good control, decent stuff, but knows the strike zone and the ability of his pitches. Comes from Hungry Horse, Montana and has put up very solid cumu stats throughout his career.
Rex Hudler
Ditto on what Cerb and MSF said......
bmags
I remember following kanny during honels first year and seeing Josh Fields with these just amazing stats. Didn't have many Ks but he had virtually no walks and an ERA of like one...it was ridiculous. Last year at Salem he got hit up a bit more but it sounds like he's getting the job done this year. He was very clutch at end of last season in playoffs, I think he was MVP with a bunch of saves.
bmags
i was getting my updates from whitesox.com so i'm not suprised if i was mislead at his ERA early on. Good to know, i remember reading a letter from that "down on the farm" guy who was talking about fields winning all those games at Kanny. its good to see this kid doing so well, but it seems like he will be a guy that gets to triple A and will move via the rule 5 draft.
