winninguglyin83
according to the Daily Southtown, Rauch has been summoned back to the Sox. Guess that means he will pitch on Thursday against the Tribe. The link: http://www.dailysouthtown.com/southtown/ds.../pro/201sd3.htm I will be at that game. Oh joy, I get to watch the wheels come off the 5th starter up close and in person. winninguglyin83
Rauch has pitched lights out in his last three starts with Charlotte. I have hope that if they give him a few weeks to prove himself that he can deliver.
DBAHO
No doubt a blow to KW's ego if Rauch is indeed called back up as the 5th starter. Hopefully he'll make the most of his 2nd chance, and his last 3 outings with the Knights have been very, very good.
DBAHO
I also see Vic Darensbourg is expected to be called up as well. Hav to say I'm very suprised with that, you would think Majewski, Santiago, or Man Hands Baj would be better options, but maybe they want a specialist lefty up in the pen. Blown oppurtunity for David Sanders, who hasn't had a good year at all so far for the Knights.

I just don't know what happens to keep these guys from bringing a little of that success up with them when they get the call. I guess it comes down to how much you're going to pay for making mistakes up in the Bigs versus AAA. Even after the surgery I was still pretty high on Rauch. and I'd love for him to click up with us. Just getting impatient now I guess.
Old Socks
Is Vic Darrensburg on the 40 man roster??? I know Majewski is.
winninguglyin83
a vote for Darrensburg is a vote against Wunsch, correct? seems as if they are really, really down on Kelly
Cerbaho-WG
Wunsch is on the DL. Darensbourg makes sense because Cotts is throwing absolute trash up to the plate.

When he goes to pitch they should leave out the screen the BP pitchers use so he doesn't get nailed by a screaming liner.
Queen Prawn
I wish KW could pull a couple trades off - a starter and some bullpen relief. I can't take this merry-go-round anymore...
WHarris1
Enough of the bulls*** K-Dub make a f***ing trade. I won't be watching this game.
CubKilla
I thought KW vowed Rauch would never pitch in a White Sox uniform again? That's how pathetic this Organization's attempt at finding another #5 starter has become. This should have been addressed in the OFFSEASON and if we had acquired just a .500 #5, we could be arguably 4 or 5 games up in the Al Central. EvilJester99
What does that say about the Sox minors?? Not ONE prospect can come up and pitch in the majors. Thats pretty sad I believe.

I am sick of this bulls*** that we can add payroll. Quite obvious f***face reinsdorf is full of crap. We will look back and see how horrid this year was when minny wins the division based on the fact we were 0-16 at the 5th spot.
BrandoFan
There isn't much to say other than to reiterate that this is a miserable 2nd rate organization run by cheap and short-sighted people. Sox would be gunning for their 5th straight divisional title right now if they didn't have a greedy liar at the helm; that spirit of unqualified failure can't help but trickles down - it even reaches the minor league personel. How many people were screaming for a 5th starter in April of 2003? Many, myself included, knew Wright was f***ed up and Stewart and later Porzio were pretty worthless. Division was lost if only because JR didn't want to spend measly 2-3 Mill (on top of his already huge payroll of 52 Mill....and that was an All-Star Game year, thanks Jerr) on a quality 5th starter....... Was the hard lesson learned in 2004? Not only has Reiny robbed the team of at least 3 wins so far, but he shot Diaz, Munoz and Rauch's trade value to hell. Might not seem like a big deal, but when you're pursuing Glavine/Garcia/Batista/Finley/etc, it will undoubtedly hurt you. But whatever. WHarris1
So once again we will have somone on a f***ed up schedule.
winninguglyin83
like I suggested before: Ask the Mets if they will make a trade to sent Ginter back.
BrandoFan
like I suggested before: Ask the Mets if they will make a trade to sent Ginter back. While we're at it, maybe we should take Josh Fogg back, too. What's wrong with getting Tom Glavine as a #1 and sliding Shcoenweiss into #5? Oh, I forgot - Glavine is owed 6+ Mill this year that will have to come from Jerry's pocket. Hell, even if Sox send a good prospect package and Mets pick up part of the salary, Jerry is still going to have to pay something - and we can't have unplanned expenditures like that! redandwhite
I'd rather see Rauch up here than another Munoz-like prospect who just gets smoked.
