The Knights lost 8-5 to Rochester. Nelson went 3-5 with an RBI. Valdez (the guy we got in the Koch trade) went 2-4 with a stolen base, a walk and a run. Reed went 1-4 with a double, walk, and a run. Borchard had a 2 run HR, his 12th on the season. Box Score

The Barons lost 4-2 to Huntsville. The Barons managed only 2 hits. Martel hit a HR and Huntsville pitcher Mike Jones walked a run in (4 straight walks). Pacheco and Honel returned. Pacheco pitched 2.1 innings of hitless ball with 2 walks. Honel pitched 1 inning of hitless ball with 1 walk. Box Score

Winston-Salem won 4-3. Anderson went 1-2 with a double, 2 RBI, and 2 walks. Sweeney went 1-4. Fields 0-4 with 2 Ks is yet to get a professional hit. Sean Tracey had a nice start (6 IP, 1 run). Box Score

All that in one post?? Too much to comment on...... lol

Okay, I'll try anyway...

Honely threw strikes for the most part, but 83 was his hardest pitch. Still struggling with velocity big time. Not sure what is going on there.

Jones for Huntsville was good, except for those 4 consecutive walks. He just lost it temporarily, it seemed. Of course, Martel let him off the hook with a terrible at bat with one out after the four walks.

Pacheco looked good, but wasn't throwing as hard as he was last year. I'll be curious to see how he does when he gets stretched out. Something just didn't click up in AAA with him and I am not sure what it is.

83?? I hope it's a typo - I thought he was 89-91, with a possibility of reaching 93-95 once he "grows into his body".

Another overhyped Sox farmhand? I hope his knuckle curve isn't as "great" as Arnie hammer.

It's only his first game back in a couple of months, with 1 inning of relief. Giv him a few weeks and then we'll see if he's still hittin 83 on the radar, if so, we got problems. :o

Brando, try and pay attention........ I have reported several times the reason he has been out this long is due to a drop in velocity. He has pitched 4 innings all year. Let's let him work back into game shape and see if the velocity will come back or not.

But pay attention to what I say and these things might not come as a surprise to you!

I'd say Munoz and possibly Anderson. You could see Reed or Borchard in their because of name recoginition though ahead of Anderson although neither has put up the numbers deserving of it.

But Munoz is probably a pretty good shot.

Did I ask you?!

Seriously though can't Borchard not be in it since was already in it twice? Can you make the futures team if you had already been on the big team ala Munoz?

I guess Reed could go just based on his status as "top prospect" even though he's not having a season like last year.

Reed and Anderson?

Reed and Munoz?

A lot will depend on what positions they need.... Munoz is a definite possibility, as is Reed. Much of the Future's Game is about hype and potential, rather than current performance.

Possibles for the Sox could include Reed, Munoz, Anderson, Sweeney or even Morse (although I doubt it). I would think there would be enough outfielders to keep the Sox from having two on the USA team, but who knows.
