Wedge
I'm curious. I was reading some ESPN articles this morning about which managers might get canned and they had Jimy Williams (Astros) as one of them (the article). If the Astros keep struggling, I wonder if there's any chance that they go into Yard Sale mode and start shipping off guys like Dotel, Oswalt, Miller, Pettite, and the prize of prizes... CLEMENS. I know it's pretty unlikely, but I've dreamed of the Rocket in a White Sox uni forever... Let's just hope for a 10 game losing streak on their part or something... whitesoxin'
What!? I would much rather see the 'Stros catch fire and beat out the Cubs for the NL Central. And there is no way the Astros would trade away any of those players. They have great potential on that team.
Wedge
I know it's a pipe dream, but a guy can dream, can't he?
Reddy
if there's one astro i want it's Berkman, hands down. I'd take him over anyone else

Steff
Clemens won't go anywhere. He'll retire there.
Reddy
well ok with our pitching in need of all this help i guess i'd take someone like Oswalt... Petitte and Clemens are too old to be worth it much longer... but if maggs leaves Berkman would be a helluva replacement
Soxbadger
Berkmans a free agent next year, so we could have him for plain old money next year. SB
qwerty
Berkmans a free agent next year, so we could have him for plain old money next year. SB That is really who the sox should be going after to take over for mags next year.
Palehosefan
Dang, I completely forgot about Berkman when the favorite player thread was up. Berkman would top my list for non-Sox players. But, I would rather have Oswalt than Berkman, Lance would be second on my list. Brad Lidge is another that would be great to get, but I'm sure Oswalt and possibly Lidge are untouchable. Reddy
Berk, from what i've heard, is "definitely" coming back next year... But i'd love to see KW really really go for him. He's relatively cheap compared to what maggs was asking for and he's one heck of a ball player. But if the stos are in the trading mood, I'd go for Oswalt right now, give us a really great #3 or better.
Dick Allen
Clemens won't go anywhere. He'll retire there. Thats right, and besides he's starting to get lit up, and that should continue.

And who knows how much longer they are gonna be producing the numbers they are.

Oswalt is a #1 Houston wont trade him... the only person that that would be on his way out is Dotel
Wise Master Buehrle
I'd imagine Clemens and maybe Pettitte have a no trade clause. I'd love some of their other pitchers though...
Mr. Showtime
No chance in hell. Had they not signed Rocket or Andy, I could see a fire sale. However, since both gave discounts, Astros owner Drayton McClain is in a win at all costs mood.

He seems to be strugging as the closer right now, but in past years he has been lights out as a setup man. Have Dotel-Marte-Shingo in the 7th-8th-9th...damn. NUKE_CLEVELAND
Clemens won't go anywhere. He'll retire there. Agreed. The only reason he's even playing is because the Astros were the ones that signed him. Any other team and he says no.
dasox24
If we could get someone from the Astros, the first player I'd want is Dotel then Berkman.
