Guest JimH
I have seen Majewski pitch 7-8 times, once for Charlotte and the rest in spring training. He will come inside, no problem. Every time I've seen him, control has been an issue. He has fallen behind hitters and if he's not throwing that sinker for strikes, problems result. The fastball is a good one, I don't know the speed but it has decent movement and he'll move it inside and outside, up and down. It does not appear he has great command of the strike zone though ... I've seen the catcher set up low and outside for example and the pitch comes inside or out over the plate. To me, he's got a really good arm but there are control and command issues. Old Socks
Back to Jackson: he has been awful since the first 2-3 weeks or so of the season. It has been weeks since since he pitched at least one inning without a run.

His velocity looks ok to me, but his location has been poor. If it's mechanical, they better get it fixed, like NOW. If he's out of gas, release him and let's move on. qwerty
He blows big time, I hope after todays game I hear that Mike Jackson has been traded, that would make my day We would have to give jackson and about 5 million dollars to get some batting practice balls. Guest JimH
They would just cut him. No one wanted him last year, so I really doubt he's got any trade value whatsoever.
Flash Tizzle
9th inning: Jackson deflated our team when he served up the solo jack. Its becomes a trend when he continually gives up runs in his appearences. How many times have the Sox made a valiant comeback, need Jackson to hold the opposition, and he f***S UP? Release him. IlliniKrush
I questioned why he was still warming up after Konerko went yard. Then he entered. I said he'd give up 2 runs; he 'only' gave up one. Guess he exceeded expectations. In all seriousness, he needs to not pitch if the game is within 3 runs either way.

Garland, Rowand, Uribe and Gload made sure of that.
knightni
yep I nominate knightni to call KW now and tell him what to do Gee thanks. I think. I'm sure Kenny would have a few choice words for me. None of them would include the words, "Hey, great! I'll get right on that!"
Soxbadger
Would anyone else prefer Adkins in close games at this point? Because I would. SB

YASNY
Jackson was just laying pitches in their wheelhouses. This guy is ineffective and over the proverbial hill. Cut him. Now. Bring up Baj or somebody. Keeping Jackson accomplishes nothing. At least with Baj, he'd start the learning process of how to pitch in the majors, even if he was no more effective than Jackson. Though, I'd be inclined to think Baj would be better.
Old Socks
Jackson had a perfect inning against the Cubs Friday: One inning, one run.
