We have an easy second half... The twins still have to face teams like the Yankees... EVERYONE JUST CHILL OUT!

It's my belief that you don't really know how good a team is until they hit a slump. Cause lets face it. Over the course of a 162 gms even the best teams are gonna go through atleast 1 or 2 slumps. The real question is how we respond to it.

I'll stop 'panicking' once the Sox make the moves and get the right guys. Right now it's looking like the Cubs will surely take 2-3 from the Sox, and we're also going into the roughest stretch of the season with 3 'legit' starters that are pitching like pure s***. Calm down my ass.

winninguglyin83
hard to get hot without any dependable starting pitching. I'm not freaking about losing to the Cubs. Cubs are good. I am freaking about the way Montreal had BP against us and we struggled to split a series against Cleveland. we're not done, but we're in trouble. cwsox
10 GB is not time to panic - it's time to quit and think about the Bears. why think about the bears? the bears will be 10 games back a lot faster, in a lot fewer games, than the sox will ever be 10 games back is time to think about the Sox because Sox fans do not "quit" and I sure as hell hope the Sox never do

aboz56
Win or loose, I’ll still be a White Sox fan all my life. Same here, I am just really frustrated right now because we can play a lot better than we currently are. We need to steal one of these two games and then head to Minnesota and hope Mark and Rauch open the series well, then we'll have Garland to go to in the final game up there. The Beast
Sighs... I was at the game yesterday and it was not pretty. It seemed quickman and I were the pessimists of our group. To borrow a quote. "Ross Gload is a piece of s***!" I didn't like the way that happened...I knew he was dropping the ball because his footing was always incorrect. He is not an OF. The guy is a 1b at best. Quickman brought up a good point, it was Ozzies mistake to put him out there, put Perez in there instead. This is the crosstown classic, not Jamie Burke in right against the Indians. I agree, I would have rather seen either Perez in RF or Rowand in RF and Harris in CF. I'm not the biggest fan of Gload. I think it was a mistake by the Sox to go an extended period of time like this without a regular everyday player. IMO we should have called up Joe or Jeremy to fill the RF vacancy with Maggs out. Eventually, a bench player playing everyday will expose weaknesses. I'd say it will be a while before Gload gets some PT after yesterday's debacle. And by all means on those pop ups its the Outfielders catch. The outfielder is supposed to call off the infielder. I would have loved to see Reed start in right. We could have won if that was the case. And it would have made sense as well.
Yoda
It was also Uribe’s fault. He should have never gone that far. He should have stayed in his 2B position and leave Gload alone. The picture of Uribe and Gload dropping the ball is all over the place (such as the newspapers). It would have been a lot better if the picture showed Ross by himself. And we have a huge series coming up with the Twins. It is possible that we can be 8-9 games behind Minny if the Sox don't "right the ship" in a hurry!!! SoxFan562004
I'm not freaking out, but games like the first one against the Cubs make me sick... The Sox had no chance to win that game, and it wasn't only because the Cubs played better. The Sox gave themselves no chance to win, it looked like Jerry Manuel was managing the team again.... Gave themselves no chance to win? They had an opportunity to bust the game open early on Prior and didn't. What should have been an ass kicking from the Sox turned out to be more Judy Garland and what could have been.

Infielders are taught to keep going until the outfielder calls you off the ball. This was all Gload's fault. He was looking not to catch the ball, so Uribe looked bad on the play. Hell, Carl Everett-types catch that ball.
