My day at beautiful U.S Cellular Field

Coming into the game, I had absolutely no high hopes for a White Sox winner. Knowing that a Triple A pitcher was our starting pitcher of the afternoon, he’d go against a fine pitcher (Zambrano) and a good offensive lineup. Nothing but negative feelings were all around me. There I was sitting in the Lower Deck Box surrounded by enthusiastic White Sox fans and some cubbie blue that could be seen all over beautiful U.S. Cellular Field. Seconds into the game, the crowd started to get real loud once our 2004 White Sox were running into the field ready to play some baseball.

I was enjoying the entire game with 10 of my friends. All of them who were wearing black and white. Man, did we have a fun time watching Paul Konerko hit a HR, followed by Crede. Everything was going all right. In the entire game, the most surprising thing was Felix Diaz. What a wonderful job he did. Player of the day. I was there live to see Shingo get another save and see him once again with a big smile on his face.

Once the game was over, I was heading to my car which had a White Sox flag in front (I replaced the American flag for the Sox flag ;) ) and noticed that some Cub fans parked right next to me. I could tell since they had a Sosa sticker (with #21 on it) right under their city sticker. I was able to see those Cub fans get into their without having to say a single word. They were quiet. And let me tell you that they ignored the Sox flag I had put up and the big grin I had.

I attended a White Sox winner.

Sox record with me in attendance: 2-0

I’ll also have the pleasure to see tomorrow’s game at the Cell :usa

sounds better than my day yesterday....glad to see you had a good time :cheers

Thanks.

There was someone on yesterday’s game thread who said their birthday was yesterday and he was attending the game. I wished him the best of luck for a White Sox winner. I feel sorry for the guy since the Sox lost.

I don't mean to stir up trouble, just felt the need to comment after reading the story.

I understand and I know who that someone is, but like I said, I had nothing but negative feeling surrounding me when I arrived to the stadium. I am thankful that everything turned out all right and hope to see another White Sox winner for tomorrow :)
