Elcaballo45
Just wondered if anyone else felt the rumbling in the Chicago area, I have a friend in Rockford that felt it, I wonder what fault line that was....
BridgeportHeather
Wow, I thought it was my Dad walking upstairs...But, yes, I felt that...THAT was weird!!!! And, it could possibly be from the San Madrid Fault line (I think that's what it's called), which is in St. Louis. WOW!
Wise Master Buehrle
HOLY s***! THATS WHAT THAT WAS!? Some things in my basement were shaking and rattling, and I was like "WTF is it storming out?" So I go upstairs and there's nothing. I figured FermiLab was doing some testing or something since I always hear their reactors and stuff in the middle of the night. Flash Tizzle
http://www.isgs.uiuc.edu/news/geonews/dece.../earthquake.htm As expected, this is a rare event. Admitingly, I was quick to dismiss El Caballos claim of a "earthquake" until Lee and Zero validated the account. Too bad there was nothing here in Palos Heights. It must of originated somewhere West of Chicago if people in Rockford, Bolingbrook, Batavia felt it.
Elcaballo45
Hahah.. they just said "everyone and his mom" has called to report the earthquake on WGN. I guess the most activity was down in KY maybe.... Carbondale had a lot of action too...

It was reported as far south as Pontiac, North as Rockford.

It was almost nothing in my area, and dismissed it as nothing until Elcaballo came up with this news. I had the music on and it sounded like there was continuous thunder occurring outside. I turned off the speakers and a few things were making rattling noises, no ground shaking that I can remember. I was in the basement as well.
