RNemz43 Posted June 29, 2004 Share Posted June 29, 2004 in gammons' article on espn.com about memorable midseason deals, the white sox white flag deal with the giants in 1997 comes up. what happened to barcelo after the 2000 season? he had some nice outings spliting games with sean lowe. IIRC, barcelo was hurt, but where is he now? 1997: Chicago (AL) traded LHP Wilson Alvarez and RHPs Roberto Hernandez and Danny Darwin to San Francisco for SS Mike Caruso, OF Brian Manning, LHP Ken Vining and RHPs Bobby Howry, Lorenzo Barcelo and Keith Foulke.
