Wong & Owens
So I am bored, and went and did some research on our newest Latino addition. Here are some numbers that may be interesting: (Based on 2001-2003 stats) His ERA is better in day games by almost a full run vs. night games. The Sox haven't done so well in day games in recent years, incl. the fun series with Seattle in 2000. He is terrible on turf and in domes. The Anti-Baldwin has an ERA over 6.00 in either condition. I would guess most pitchers are worse on turf though. His worst month historically? July His best month? June 2nd best month? September His career ERA at US Cellular is his 6th best out of all the stadiums he's pitched in(3.54 in 3 starts) His ERA at the Metrodome? 8.27 in 3 starts Which two teams historically have hit him the hardest? Kansas City (.317 BA) and Detroit(.294 BA) Who can't hit him? Baltimore(.180 BA) What about the Cubs? .185 BA.
RibbieRubarb
His ERA at the Metrodome? 8.27 in 3 starts But when he pitched there in May he went 7+ innings and only gave up 3 runs. He lost 4-3. Earlier in the year he held Minny to only 1 run....he won that game.

SoxAce
2nd best month? September Nuff said. The team he does pitch the worst is KC, but we dont face then till about Sep., so hopefully that'll transpire into better results for Garcia. Wise Master Buehrle
Garcia is a different pitcher from the last two years, so his ERA totals are balooned a little bit. Garcia changed his approached because of his shortcomings the past few years, he came in confident, calm, and it worked out greatly for him. I don't care about his past stats. Garcia is a different pitcher this year.
