cwsox
take the medication as prescribed and keep your log of how you feel - it will come around and restore the imbalance, the medications are good things and help a lot of people - best of luck good friend! Soxplosion
No offense to anyone, but how can depression be a mental disease? And what exactly does it do? I dont get it...
Chisoxfn
Hey WSC, I think you need to convince your parents to fly you out to Arizona so you can watch a months worth of bsaeball or so. I think thats the base way to cure it Just take whatever the medication is and don't put so much pressure on yourself and things like that. Relax, have fun and enjoy life taking it one day at a time. Hope you get better man.
YASNY
No offense to anyone, but how can depression be a mental disease? And what exactly does it do? I dont get it... Depression is a chemical imbalance that can completely incapacitate someone, depending on the severity. It certainly is an illness. Fortunately, with the proper medication, those that suffer from depression can and do lead normal lives. The key to the medication being successful is that the patient must continue taking it. Too many times, the medication works and then the person feels that they no longer need it, so they stop taking it. It creates a vicious cycle. Queen Prawn
I just found out I have depression. It sucks, but o well, its just a chemical imbalance. I, too, was diagnosed with chronic depression and anxiety. I opted not to take prescription drugs because of the trend of addiction in my my family. I take herbal supplements and have learned other techniques in helping to deal with it when it starts getting bad. If you ever need to vent/talk feel free to email. cwsox
Thank you dude. Make sure you pray. You are good man my loyal friend. prayers always - and do tell your parents that part of your cure should be going to ST, as Jason suggested!
witesoxfan
No offense to anyone, but how can depression be a mental disease? And what exactly does it do? I dont get it... I've been depressed at times.....thinking about moving and other s*** as well....it really sucks. It seems like time just barely moves along. It really does suck...I know I just constantly thought about stuff....not like suicide or any sick stuff like that....but just stuff....random thoughts. I really think that listening to music helps it a lot...any type of music at all. You could listen to rap that talks about gangs and drugs and shooting people and what not...and you'd still get better. Anways....wsc....get better man....just think that White Sox baseball is less then 4 weeks away! That should cheer anyone up(unless, of course, you are a Twins fan....their days of reigning division champ are dwindling)
