Jordan4life_2007
Was I hearing things or did Hawk say he's retired the last 18 batters he's faced? And that was before the easy 1-2-3 inning he had in the 7th. It looks like they've finally found a comfortable role for him. If he continues like this we have a dynamite shut em down 7th-8th-9th inning trio of Pollite, Marte, and Shingo.

DBAHO
If Politte and Marte can get into their best pitching form, it will help this team so much. He looked pretty good today, and Marte's been great the last 2 weeks.
EvilJester99
Hawk was saying that KW and Ozzie had a chat with Politte. More of a confidence builder kind of talk and it looks as though it has worked so far. Lets hope he can keep it going.
witesoxfan
If he continues to pitch like this, he's fine. It's when he throws fastball after fastball after fastball when he starts to get lit. His mixes in that slider and he can be unhittable. I still think we could use another good arm out of the pen. Be it Smoltz or Urbina or whomever. Another arm would not hurt in the least. Jordan4life_2007
You love that crow dont ya??? I have no problem with standing up and giving a player his due. I've been hating on Pollite all year. Now it's time for me to atleast give him some props for now.

knightni
I always thought Pollite was a quality middle reliever. He was my pick as closer to replace Koch early on. (Before Shingo got hot that is...)

Your right i would really like to see the get one if not two more relievers. Also i would like to see adkins put in some pressure situations. baggio202
hopefully pollitte can keep it up...he still scares me everytime he comes in a game though...probably because i see alot of billy botch in the way he pitches...though he is by far better than botch i dont need the flashbacks

I do agree that we could use atleast 1 more arm. I still like Cotts but Jackson has got to go.

Alright i agree with that but if pollite suddenly blows up, adkins better be the first to get a chance to pitch the 7th.

Now it's time for me to atleast give him some props for now. I've also been riding Pollitte all year, and gotta say he has been quietly impressive the last 2-3 weeks. I'm more comfortable seeing him come in than Cotts at the moment, and I started out the year really high on Cotts. I don't like seeing either of these guys in for much more than an inning at a stretch though (that includes Adkins), so we'd better be able to count on the starters to go 7 strong more often than not or the wheels can come off.
