After his first outing, a solid 6 IP, 9 K game, have your thoughts changed about Freddy Garcia and the trade?

For anyone who had expectations of him pitching well, just consider that he just moved half-way across the country from a city in which he has player his whole career. He also barely knows anyone here yet and everything is all new to him here.

And who doesn't know a lick of English! Wait.....

Why wait. Alomar was going to have to catch him eventually. It also gives the Sox braintrust the insight of a proven veteran catcher as to what Garcia brings to the table. Nothing wrong with Alomar catching this game, imho.

To be honest, I forgot how good Garcia was and yes, my thoughts hve changed. I first hated the trade cause of the future studs we gave up and didn't think we should have gave up that much. But seeing Garcia pitch suddenly made me realize we could go deep in September (hopefully October) with this man and we have a stronger rotation. I'm lovin it. :)

Yeah he pitched great outside of that one pitch to guzman.

And to Mauer, and to Koskie. They showed on SC how good his 12-6 curve was biting and his location in the beginning of the game. then he left some fastballs/breaking pitches out and over the plate which the hitters did not miss. Other than that, solid outing.

I did not mention mauer and koskie, because that would have only been two earned runs in 6 innings. Which would have been a very solid outing.
