cwsox
Diaz didn't pitch that well today, but he kept us in the game. Four innings, three runs. Not much you could do with the rain delay. Inability to get guys out? Athome, what the hell are you talking about. He was great last weekend, and he was alright today. It's his fourth career start and you guys want a Nolan Ryan like performance. great post!
GreenSox
Could someone please explain why a 4. ERA national league pitcher who walks a batter every other inning is so compelling? Did we have one of those once- Todd Ritchie? We need players for the bullpen or for the top of the rotation- not at the bottom.
southsideirish
Diaz, Rauch, and Maggs for Jones and Otriz. DONE DEAL! umm, no, I don't give them anything more than maggs for those two overpaid bums and the only reason I give up maggs is because I fear not getting anything if we can't resign him. southsideirish
If you think the Braves are going to accept that you're on crack. The Braves aren't exactly out of the race with the NL East being so weak. Also it's going to take something decent now that Ortiz is the best available SP that Garcia's off the market. Randy Johnson is on the market. Ortiz is better than him?

I have been wondering this same thing, but hey this is what people want....
YASNY
Randy Johnson is on the market. Ortiz is better than him? Turnabout is fair play. Where did you get this information?
greasywheels121
Randy Johnson is on the market. Ortiz is better than him? What says Randy's on the market? He said he's not going to a big city (i.e. Chicago, NY), and he's happy in Arizona.

I remember a lot of other players saying the same thing. No I am happy where I am at and I would like to end my career here. Then all of a sudden they like the idea of going from a last place club to a first place club and playing in the playoffs. We will see. Where there's smoke, there's fire. But the DBack's were going to let RJ decide if he wanted to be traded. That's the last thing I've heard out of 'Zona on the subject.
