Yoda
Once again, Minnesota wants to share 1st place with us. But when we play them, they can’t do s*** and they end up in second or third place. I can’t wait till we face them again so we can kick them out of the AL Central for good. Today’s games Sox vs. Cubs Mark Buehrle (8-2) 4.33 Glendon Rusch (4-1) 4.33 Minnesota vs. Arizona Carlos Silva (8-5) 4.23 Randy Johnson (9-6) 3.04 Help us out Randy
Al Lopez Ghost (old)
The Twins lose today and we win. Even if the worst thing happens, when the day is done we will be tied with the Twins in the loss column. We're in good shape. Get Maggs back and go on a tear. beck72
The Twins lose today and we win. Even if the worst thing happens, when the day is done we will be tied with the Twins in the loss column. We're in good shape. Get Maggs back and go on a tear. With strong starting pitching 1-5, a nice long winning streak is possible. Esp. with Maggs back, SS back to his April form, a trade or two. The Twins are scouting Benson [which they won't get, as that would involve making a trade and taking on salary], and looking for help for their offense from AAA. I'll take the Sox position anyday. SkokieSox
I think it's less of the Twins won't lose as much as the Diamondbacks just can't win. Hopefully today is a different story.
WHarris1
Yep, I wish we got to play Arizona. Hopefully RJ can shut them down.
R.J.
Yeah, It's easy to not lose when you're playing Arizona. When do we get to play them? :headshake
CSF
Yeah, It's easy to not lose when you're playing Arizona. When do we get to play them? :headshake We played them last year. Didn't work out so well. We lost 2/3. Minnesota has a brutal schedule the 2nd half. We'll see what they're truly made of then.
cwsox
I think it's less of the Twins won't lose as much as the Diamondbacks just can't win. Hopefully today is a different story. Dbacks were swept last weekend by Detroit.
kapkomet
Minnesota generally plays its best ball this time of year. The sox don't. The Cubs are no slouch, and Arizona is. As long as we keep pace, the second half, as others have said, will separate the pretenders from the real deal.
Rowand44
The sox are in very good shape right now, tied for 1st and one up in the lose column. But the twins have a much tougher schedule in the 2nd half of the year. A week and a half ago there were people who thought the sox would be 6 or 7 out at the allstar break. This team is in very good shape and there is still a very high chance kenny improves the team before july 31.
greg775
Minnesota is like the pesky gnat flying around your neck. The Twinks never go away. They don't belong in the playoffs. We do.
