Ortiz vs. Frank or Konerko is reasonable and Ken Harvey is the lone Royal. That's fine. Belliard has better stats than Uribe. That's fine. It's been said before, but I'll say it again. Get rid of the fan voting and get rid of the "every team needs a rep" rule, because this s*** ends up pissing off more people than it pleases. Even more necessary now because of this stupid home-field advantage rule. Has baseball ever done anything logical though? They've destroyed a whole franchise in Montreal, when nobody thought it could get any worse. Somehow the geniuses that run this sport found a way. Being an all star is overrated, and in Paul Konerko's case 2 yeras ago, it totally f***ed up his game. That probably had something to do with the HR derby, too. And Thomas, Konerko, Uribe, and Buerhle, all feeling snubbed about not being selected, dominate in the ALDS to beat the Yanks in four.
