YASNY
Tied for second. What a shock!
BrandoFan
Frank needs to stop dreaming of an all-star game and start mashing those middle-of-the-plate fastballs he's been fouling off in the last couple of weeks. Oh and extend your hands and flip an outside pitch to RF once in a while, will ya Frank?
NUKE_CLEVELAND
f***ing Giambi! What the hell. I knew it was coming, but still... He'll go out there wearing an ad for BALCO on his uniform. They'll have an ad that runs during the game that shows before and after pics of Giambi & Bonds with a voice over of them saying "Not only are we 'Roid club co-presidents..........but we're also clients!" mreye
Well, if it makes you feel any better, the Twins only got one player too, so, that is kind of vindication So the two top teams in the Central get a total of 2 players?
southsider2k5
So the two top teams in the Central get a total of 2 players? And the 3rd place team gets 4. :headshake
BrandoFan
And the 3rd place team gets 4. :headshake Ok.....1 of Thomas/Konerko HAS to be there, but then you could make a case for Loaiza NOT deserving to be there. Still only 1 player. Shingo? Not enough innings as a closer, and the Cubbie meltdown killed whatever chances he had. Uribe? Went from a sure bet (better than Soriano and Belliard 3 weeks ago) to someone who shouldn't be there. Noone to blame but himself. Buerhle? Montreal and Cleveland outings did him in. By the time he took the mound against the Cubs, selections were already made. Valentin? Poor Cub series put a kabosh on that. He needed to go 4 for 7 in the first 2 games, and he didn't. WHarris1
Shingo? Not enough innings as a closer, and the Cubbie meltdown killed whatever chances he had. While the 1st part is probably true the Cubbie meltdown was after the teams were picked.
