Rowand44
Okay, Jose can play 2nd or 3rd. Put Ramon Backwards at Short, Jose at 3rd/2nd and Uribe at 2nd/3rd. Screw Crede. I don't care about numbers this year, Nomar is a better ball player then Jose. Oh yeah that's a great idea move Jose the better fielder to 2nd or 3rd. Nokona
for Ramon backwards, i'd put crede in right until mags comes back.
soxman352000
What makes Nomar better exactly? Nothing makes him better. I think the majority of us agree that Jose at short stop is okay
ZoomSlowik
Nomar may be the most overrated player in the league. Yes, he is better than Jose, but he is way overpaid, is seeking a deal way over what he is worth, is injury prone, and is a WEAK defender. Jose and Nomar is basically a draw defensively. That's not what I want to hear if we are going to try to upgrade. Nomar is a better hitter for average, but power is about a draw. It wouldn't make any sense. Plus, why would Boston deal him when they are trying to make the playoffs? The chemistry and attitude argument doesn't hold weight. You don't unload quality players. Bonds and Kent hardly talked to each other, and that worked for a World Series run. If anything they would try to add players instead of trading one of their best hitters. SoxAce
Nomar is a better hitter for average, but power is about a draw. Naw. Jose has more pop. Has Nomar ever hit 25+ homeruns for more than 4 straight seasons? Only four have done that (Tejada, A-Rod, Valentin, Ripken)
soxman352000
Jose has way more pop in the bat than Nomar.

YASNY
The Sox don't have a need for 3 months of Nomar. His contributions to the club vs those of Valentin could not possibly justify the salary increase or the loss of prospects it would take to get him. No thanks to Nomar. We should be setting our sights elsewhere, ala Steve Finley.
The Beast
Shall I mention Nomar's "so-called" attitude at Yankee Stadium? Also, what about all the injuries he has had, thus far.
EvilJester99
The only reason the Sox are now "supposedly" envolved in this is due to the fact they almost traded Maggs for Nomahhhh and a reliever, during that ARod fiasco.
winninguglyin83
Nomar needs to get his head out of his ass. He's been slow to rehab and pouting because Boston tried to trade him. He wasn't enthused about coming to Chicago when that deal for Maggs was discussed last winter. He's in a funk -- and there's hardly a guarantee he would come out of it in Chicago. Plus his wild-ass throws ARE worse than Jose. Stick with Jose, Jose, Jose. If we're going to add something, add another pitcher, a left-handed bat or a catcher. Just say NO to Nomar.
