1549
I will never forget my first game at New Comiskey Park And btw, no Sox player has ever worn the Uniform as well as Lance Johnson. When I think back to the Sox new uni's I was a little kid, and I loved the black uniforms. I wanted to be Lance Johnson because he looked so cool in the uniform. Something people forget is that back then there weren't last names on the Sox pinstripe jersey.

I loved when we just had the number only jerseys. I wanted to find one of him in the field, that's what I always remember him for.

greasywheels121
Man those were the dayz That it was. I miss not knowing/worrying about the players getting paid millions of dollars and this GAME being a business. I really didn't have a clue about any of this until after the strike. You appreciated the game more before you knew that this was all about the money, like everything else in this world.

One Dog had a 646 OPS in 588 AB. Sammy Sosa his .203 with a 575 OPS in 316 AB. Joey Cora hit .241 a 554 OPS in 228 AB. Scott Fletcher hit .206 with a 528 OPS in 248 AB. Cory Snyder hit .188 with a 527 OPS in 120 AB. Ron Kittle retired after hitting .191 with a 610 OPS in 50 AB. Ramon Garcia would not taste major league action again until 1996, when he posted a 6.66 ERA in 37 games out of the Brewers bullpen . He would go on to pitch for the Astros in 1997, posting a 3.69 ERA with 9 wins in 20 GS. Not bad. What I can't figure out is why he would retire after the 1997 season after finally having some success at the big league level. Injuries, perhaps. NUKE_CLEVELAND
Ahhh that brings back such good memories.... I loved Robin and Hurt... Frank and Robin were to the '90s what Fisk and Kitty were to the '80s. A really awesome team that kept the folks in the stands cheering and the team winning. BTW If it wasn't for MB then Black Jack would be my fav Sox pitcher of all time.

Wedge
Black Jack took a gunslingers heart with him to the mound. That dude knew how to compete. Black Jack woulda been to the Sox what McMahon was to the Bears if the strike in '94 didn't happen...
