CWSGuy406
But the two previous hitters walked, why not take just one pitch? Right - but Rodriguez' thoughts are probably like 'I'm not getting my curveball over right now, and the only way it's going to be effective is if I get ahead in the count. Gotta throw a firstball fastball for a strike.' Come on Neal... two on, nobody out.

CubsSuck1
I like how they stress Donnely warming in the pen, then casually skip over the fact that Percival is in there as well.
thomsonmi
Sometimes, when two people walk before you, the best pitch you get to hit is the first one since the pitcher will put it in the heart of the plate to not get behind Trust me, the logic works both ways....I have seen so MANY hits on the first pitch after two walks that score runs....considering Lee smoked it, it proves my point....he got unlucky.... :banghead That's what I was trying to say and when the pitcher is a guy like K-Rod the sentiment is all the more true. K-Rod has nasty stuff but at that point he's thinking one thing and one thing only -- I have to throw a strike. And, in that situation a hitter as good as CLEE should be looking to smoke it. qwerty
Cotts is great when he comes out of the pen to get out of jams, but whenever he starts an inning he does not do well at all.

You gotta make the pitcher play your game, hell he could have thrown a wild pitch...but we'll never know...
