Cali
Has Honel started a game since he got off of the DL? Or just those relief appearances to get his arm strength back?
dasox24
Kanny won 5-0. Gray went 4-5 w/ a HR and a stolen base. Bounds went 3-4 a HR and 2 rib. Bounds has been really hot as of late. His avg. was hanging below .200 for the first month or so of the season, and is now up to .281. Young went 1-5 w/ 3 k's. Ryan Rodriguez was flat out dominant. He went 7 innings, giving up 3 hits, 0 runs, and striking out 8. Kanny Box Charlotte won 6-4. Valdez went 3-4. Borch was 1-3 w/ a solo HR and a BB. Dransfeldt was 2-4. Stewart got the win giving up 3 runs in 7 IP, and Maj got the save going the last 2 innings, giving up 1 run. Charlotte Box Bristol lost 3-2. De Los Santos went 1-4 w/ an rbi. Javier Castillo was 2-4 w/ a double. Lucas Harrell had a very good start throwing a perfect 5 innings w/ 4 k's. Bristol Box W-S won 10-9. A-Gon was 2-4 w/ 3 runs and a solo HR. Fields was 2-4 w/ a double and 2 rbi. Rogo was 1-3 w/ 2 BB's. Sweeney and Brice went 0-4. Tracey got the win giving up 2 runs in 5 IP, although he was pretty wild, walking 4 and hitting 3 batters. Pollok got the save, his 17th of the year. Winston-Salem Box B-ham won 4-3. Anderson was 2-4 w/ a solo HR and a stolen base. Spidale was 1-5 w/ an rbi. Bullard started the game and got the no-decision giving up 2 runs in 5.2 IP. LaMura got the win, pitching 2 scoreless innings of relief, and Smith got the save, his 5th of the year. LaMura has really been pitching well in relief; maybe he's found his niche in pro ball. B-ham Box
MnSoxFan
2 hits with a homer for Anderson, Bullard starts, Lamura win in relief, Smith save again. http://milb.sportsnetwork.com/merge/tsnfor...px?GAMEID=15796
ZoomSlowik
Damn, Anderson is really starting to look like a future stud. Hasn't missed a beat with the promotion. Hopefully a future Sox All-star for years to come!
Guest JimH
Has Bajenaru not been getting save opportunities lately, is he hurt or something? Or is it simply a case of giving Matt Smith an opportunity to close some games?
Chisoxfn
Personally to me its starting to look like for whatever reason the Sox brass isn't too high on Baj. I don't get it, the guy is a good character individual who can pitch. He may be a little old for AA, but he had an injury and the only reaosn he's in AA this year is because the Knights bullpen has been strong. Rex Hudler
Has Bajenaru not been getting save opportunities lately, is he hurt or something? Or is it simply a case of giving Matt Smith an opportunity to close some games? He has a groin injury. Hasn't been healthy for awhile. My guess is they are going to rest him this week and couple it with three days off for the all-star break next week to get him back to full strength. He has been pitching through it for awhile, not sure how long though.
Rex Hudler
Has Honel started a game since he got off of the DL? Or just those relief appearances to get his arm strength back? Nope..... just two outings.. He doesn't have anywhere near the velocity he needs. My guess is he is done for the year.
Chisoxfn
He's back on the DL too.
SoxAce
Good to see my sleeper prospect (Tracey) doing well. Even though he has a below .500 record, he has a good era and has been the ace of that Salem rotation.
dasox24
Great Falls won 10-7. Kelly was 1-2 w/ a HR and 3 rbi. Lucy had himself another big game, going 2-3 w/ a double, a HR, 3 rbi, and a stolen base. Hopefully his last two games are a sign of things to come from Mr. Lucy. Suarez got the win giving up 2 ER in 5 IP. Zaleski gave up his first runs of the year (after going 9.2 innings w/ giving up a run), giving up 2 ER in 1 IP. Great Falls Box
DBAHO
This on Anderson from BA, From one Anderson to another, White Sox first-rounder Brian Anderson has made a seamless transition at Double-A Birmingham. Anderson, who was promoted to the Southern League on July 1, is hitting .350-1-6 in his first five games for the Barons. He hit .319-8-46 in 254 at-bats at high Class A Winston-Salem this season, garnering all-star honors.
Old Socks
Anderson has played well since we signed him last year. I wonder if we trade him this year or next.
Guest JimH
Should we hang onto all our prospects and never trade any of them? Don't know if that's what you're implying ...?
SoxAce
Reed also hit better when he was promoted to AA. I think we might see the same from Anderson.
