Divsion champs, but we still have a long way to go to a world series or even deep in the playoffs. We need a left handed power bat that can really hit tough righties. One if not two right handed relievers.

yea i dont know about WS champs.... the 2004 trophy is already at yankee stadium in a case....it was bought by steinbrenner for 200 mil

I think this team as is can get to the alcs. s*** is a lot more unpredictable in short 5 gm series. I could see Garcia, Buehrle, and Loaiza all pitching well. I could see our offense being good enough to take 3 outta 5 in a short series.

 

Now as far as going farther than that. I still think we need another starter, bat, quality relief.

We SHOULD still be able to take Central IF (!!!) guys start playing to their potential. Not even a bunch of career years, just up to their potential.

 

This slide has me bummed out and I voted for us losing to the Twinks for the division - Sox had better prove me wrong.

i think its possible for us to get frank and maggs back and get .... the offence WILL pick up and get outta this funk.... our starting pitching will be much better then it has been june-now... and we can win this division

 

but, i voted that we could win the ALCS

 

because it is possible, if we face oakland, new york, boston, etc. in the ALCS we could beat them with this team

 

it isnt probable, but its possible and the name of this thread is What is Possible?
