He's been rehabbing down at AAA for bout a week I think, they Twinkies need him back at the top of their lineup. Most ppl think they'll get Kris Benson now as well. I'm not sure if Benson is a difference maker or not but he's sure looked good his past couple of outings.

dasox24
Great Falls lost 8-1. Lucy was 1-3 w/ a rbi. Ricks was also 1-3 w/ a double. Great Falls had a grand total of 3 hits on the night (McCarthy had the 3rd one). Boone Logan took the loss, giving up 3 ER in 4.2 IP. Eric Everly gave up 4 runs in 2 IP. Great Falls Box Other notes from the night: Hankins has been pretty hot lately (2-3 w/ a HR today); it's good to see him doing well after a slow start to the season. Josh Fields had 2 nice innings of relief, and Yan hit his 9th triple of the year. And, like ChiSox_Sonix has been saying, it'd be good to see Yan called up solely for pinch running in september. Andy Gonzalez had been doing well lately, too, which is good to see since he's got a lot of talent, but just has to put it all together. B-Mac had a pretty good start; it's good to see him doing well in Winston-Salem. Pollok got another save w/ another nice inning of relief. I really like this guy. I don't know much about him, except that we drafted him last year out of Texas A&M, but for some reason I really like him.

dasox24
Brian Simmons cf 4 0 0 0 0 0 0 0 1 .219 Anyone notice that one Brian Simmons is playing for Rochester? I didn't know this guy was still playing. For the some who don't remember this guy, he is the same Brian Simmons that was our 2nd round draft pick in '95, in '98 hit a HR from both sides of the plate in the same game against K.C., and was involved in the David Wells ("shouldergate", as some called it) trade in 2001. Just a little tidbit of info that I thought I'd share.
danman31
Could Nelson in RF mean that the Sox are looking to get him up in place of Borchard? Nelson has been having a better year and he deserves a shot somehow. This was only Shannon Stewart's 2nd game with Rochester. He's 3 for 7. I'd doubt it, I think Nelson is just playing RF because they don't want to call up an outfielder from B-Ham and so more of the infielders can get a game. Nelson's cooled of a little as well, but he's still a really good year for the Knights.
