RNemz43
will the cubs be able to sign their big four (prior, clement, wood, zambrano) when all their contracts are up?
SoxAce
will the cubs be able to sign their big four (prior, clement, wood, zambrano) when all their contracts are up? They dont even need to. They got some good pitching in their minor leagues which is makin some of the starts now expendable. If I were to choose.. Wood, yes (didnt they give him an extension?) Prior, no (too cocky) Zambrano, yes or no (he's a sox fan ) Clement, no (doubt the cubs want to.)
Yoda
Just came off and only saw some of it. I just saw when they had a rock- like heart split from the middle and they were making Alexander/Spears love in the sack.. Looks like the Cards are in trouble right now. CWSGuy406
will the cubs be able to sign their big four (prior, clement, wood, zambrano) when all their contracts are up? Damn - 1-0 Cubs. I dunno about the rest, but Wood just signed something like a 3 yr/32 Mill dollar contract in the offseason.

Yoda
And now 40yr. old Alou hits a double. You can tell Carpenter doesn't have it today.
BuehrleTheAce
5 Ks on the first 5 batters faced? He definitely *had* it, but I think Corky took stole it and put it in his bat
Yoda
Looks like this thread is useless since Carpenter only went 3.2 innings.

AngelasDaddy0427
I'm glad i'm not a Cards fan because If I was i'd be mighty pissed to see them rolling over like pathetic b****es to a poor scrub team... Really makes you wonder if they will be able to keep their lead or not. :fthecubs Ohh well at least the Sox are in first...

Rowand44
Do you just post stuff to get people to think your stupid? Yeah, what the hell are you talking about jeckle. A 7 game lead at the break ain't bad. rolleyeyes.gif
qwerty
Yeah, what the hell are you talking about jeckle. A 7 game lead at the break ain't bad. rolleyeyes.gif Especially since the cubs are not a bad team it's pretty impressive.
AngelasDaddy0427
I just hate to see the Cubs win. I so wanted to see them get f***ing swept...
BuehrleTheAce
Yea tell me about it I have Carpenter on one of my fantasy teams and I needed him to get a low ERA so I could gain another point in my head-to-head matchup. Well, I sure f***ed THAT up, didn't I? He's been stellar all year and finishing off the Cubbies before the Yankee-Star break would've been sweet, on top of enhancing my fantasy standings. I was up against Ben Sheets AND Jason Schmidt this week - man did I need a good performance out of him tonight. AAARRRGGGHHH!!
Rowand44
Dont say the Cards rolled over and died when there 8 up at the moment and took 2 of 3 at least this weekend. Well they definitely didn't roll over and die. Scored 3 in the 9th and had 2 men, down 8 to 4. Womack and Renteria were real dumb, hawkins was having some control problems and womack swings at the first pitch after hawkins walks the bases loaded, and renteria swings at the next pitch. :headshake
Jordan4life_2007
Hawkins has been really strugglin of late. The flubs need a closer. Hawkins is a set-up man, period.
