knightni
Mayne is the greatest. He kinda has that california accent to him.. BTW, they are showing the softball game again on ESPN2. I remember one of his 1st ESPN commercials... He's doing "highlight voiceovers" to a Griffey homer. "It's never iffy when it's Griffey!" "No, that blows." dasox24
I remember one of his 1st ESPN commercials... He's doing "highlight voiceovers" to a Griffey homer. "It's never iffy when it's Griffey!" "No, that blows." I'm pretty sure that this line was in that commercial too, or maybe in another one around that time: "That must be a Homer, Simpson, cuz the pitcher just said D'oh!" Spiff
From the Sports Guy's column on all-star monday; "When Sarah Silverman was asked the old, 'All right, if you could make out with anyone playing in the game, who would it be?' question, she glanced around and saw Modine, Charlie, Lachey and the Apprentice Guy, finally answering, 'I guess Ernie Banks.' These are the moments that should make the actual telecast."
