Nearly half way through spring training, here is my picks:

Buehrle Colon Garland Loazia Heredia.-Stewart isn't ready yet. Worried about Danny's elbow.

Koch Gordon White Marte Wunsch Munoz

Konerko Jimenez Valentin Crede Olivo Lee Harris Ordonez Thomas. I feel MUCH better now that I have seen Harris in CF. I haven't seen Aaron yet, so as of now, this is what I think the lineup will be.

So here is my lineup:

Jimenez

Valentin

Thomas

Ordonez

Konerko

Lee

Crede

Olivo

Harris

DL: Dan Wright-If the inflammation is worse than anticipated. Aaron Rowand-Haven't seen him in centerfield, yet.

Whats urs ladies and germs???

C'mon HSC, D'Ang is KW's boy, unless he dies the field, he'll be leading off and playing second in 2003. Without your obvious bias towards aaron, do you truly believe that JM would choose Miles over Jimenez?

all im saying is the better man should get the job and in this case aaron is the better man.. offensivly and defensivly..... kw should at least take that into consideration.....if he doesnt then hes one f***ed up gm..... you always go with your best men......not your favorite..........or at least thats how its supposed to go.........

JM has been talking about Miles, and his fight for the final bench spot against Harris, not about beating Jimenez, willie can play 2 positions, he has ML experience, and even AAA experience, he's fast and younger than Miles, which is why it's gonna be an uphill battle for him to even get a bench spot.

harris is still hitting the ball in the air and from watching him play CF against the cubs id rather have HSC out there in cf :D ...the dude is weak in cf...and his arm...weak weak weak...if rowand cant go and they send borchard down we got to come up with another option other than harris...

I don't like how Sandy is named the starting catcher before spring training starts...what is that crap? Let them battle it out, as everyone else is supposed to do. And it's not like Alomar is some proven all star. If anything, he's certainly declining while Olivo is on the way up, so let's see what they've both got in this point in time. What if Alomar hits .150 in spring and Olivo hits .350? Is Alomar still your catcher?

I'm going out on Wednesday and will watch Miles closely. Will report when I get back on 3/19.

The thing is, Jimenez has more experience than Miles. Manuel had talked about Miles, but he's also talked about Jimenez.

Miles is intriguing, but so far in his career, he hasn't shown he draws enough walks to be a leadoff hitter, and that's what the Sox need ... that's what they think Jimenez can do ... Jimenez has shown patience at the plate.

Miles only drew 40 walks last year in over 500 at bats.

Check for

A. Arm Accuracy.

B. Hitting capabilities

C. Get a watch and time him from contact made to first base.

D. Watch his feet on ground balls. Do they look wrong?

E. His passion of the game.

F. Comparison of him to another MLB player.

Well that sure isn't going to happen with Olivo batting 071. right now and Alomar batting 625. :P
