baggio202
not only is olivo not hitting but boy did he looked overmatched against zambrano on saturday..he looked like a pitcher trying to hit...swinging at pitchers that were already in the catcher's glove...he better his s*** together soon...this is the key position for us...if olivo falls on his face josh paul could end up leading us to the promised land
MurcieOne
Although I like Aaron alot...... I doubt he ever see the light of a Major League starting job. I know we compare him to X's out Anahiem..... but that guy is 1 in a million. Jimenez will be the starter and should be, he's the better player by far. Mathew
Olivo hasnt been hitting at all this spring. and im interested on how he is handling the pitchers. my best bet would be sandy has a starter. he will hit .280 and he know how to handle a pitching staff. while he is healthy. Alomar will walk less times than he will homer, does anyone know how patient Miguel is?
Chisoxfn
JM has been talking about Miles, and his fight for the final bench spot against Harris, not about beating Jimenez, willie can play 2 positions, he has ML experience, and even AAA experience, he's fast and younger than Miles, which is why it's gonna be an uphill battle for him to even get a bench spot. harris is still hitting the ball in the air and from watching him play CF against the cubs id rather have HSC out there in cf ...the dude is weak in cf...and his arm...weak weak weak...if rowand cant go and they send borchard down we got to come up with another option other than harris... Baggs, lets just say I agree with your assesment other then him hitting it in the air. From what I saw he was hitting it to first or 2nd every at bat, but it wasn't getting through. I lean towards Miles if Rios can play center.

We haven't been giving up that many runs this spring, with a few exceptions. Olivo has to have caught a few of those games. I'd say he's doing pretty well handling the pitchers. I also believe he caught a shutout from someone last year(maybe Buehrle...I'm not sure)
